  1. They're all analogue. Eli's "digital" post was a joke: The 0's and 1's. If there's an interference with a digital signal, the receiving device will just read it as non-data, and discard it. As such, you won't get a white noise image (unless they're simulating one with a pre-made animation).
  2. Is it just one update that fails? Are other Windows updates able to install? Ctrl + Double Click?? Umm, where did you get that misinformation? Sounds like you're unfamiliar with Windows Safe Mode. Here's a guide for Win 7: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-start-windows-7-in-safe-mode-2624540
  3. The version it shows for KernalBase.dll is a bit outdated (compared to the on my Win 7 system). Can you confirm that your computer is up to date with Windows Update? Also, please try running paint.net in Windows Safe Mode. That will tell us if some third-party software is interfering with paint.net.
  4. Howdy! Click on where it says 'View problem details'. Copy those details here, or post another screenshot with those details.
  5. My condolences. Example: This is the URL I've copied: https://s20.postimg.org/xf136bvl9/6._WB.png For the poll, I need to place it into [IMG ] [/IMG] tags: [IMG ]https://s20.postimg.org/xf136bvl9/6._WB.png[/IMG] I had to add a space in between [IMG & ] , so it would be formatted as text you could read. Don't add the space in practice. That's all there is to it.
  6. What makes you say that? I've never had an issue with https URLs.
  7. The forum software is not squashing them. You used thumbnail size provided by PostImage for the first 9 images in the poll. If you open one of the images, you'll see it's still small (even when not displayed in the poll) Example: https://s20.postimg.org/htjrmdjmx/6._WB.png You can still edit the poll, and change the images to full size. What? I always use the original image url from the entry. Except... if the entry was added as a forum attachment, as the forum won't let me use someone else's attachment in my post/poll. No need for that. You can just right click on their image, and select 'Copy Image Location'. It may be called something slightly different depending on the web browser. Then just place that copied url in between tags. Hope that helps.
  8. Yes, I made a typo when making some changes. Sorry. The column is not getting set correctly, so the position of the red underline goes to the previous line. I've already fixed this, and I will coordinate with BoltBait once I've finished with some other improvements I'm working on.
  9. Sure it will work, but there are programs that are much better suited for printing tasks. Makes it easy for the layman. Vector based text... even at 600 dpi, raster text can still have fuzzy borders. Automatic bleed margin configurations. Templates ect.
  10. TL;DR: PNG supports transparency, and has lossless compression. https://www.digitaltrends.com/photography/jpeg-vs-png-photo-format/
  11. If these are physical cards that are going to be printed, I don't recommend using paint.net for this task. By all means use paint.net on the images that may be used on the cards, but everything else should be done in a different program. At least in my opinion. Please elaborate. Perhaps you're not using the plugins correctly.
  12. From what I understand, what the ico/cur plugin is doing with the load dialog is a hack, as FileType plugins don't officially support such a thing (load dialogs). Anyways, I though TechnoRobbo solved this more than a year ago... Works for me at least. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/927-icon-cursor-and-animated-cursor-format-v37-may-2010/?do=findComment&comment=514467
  13. I've posted a small bugfix release to address the issue with Shape import/export for European locales. No other changes are included. Other changes are coming though, but they're still a ways off.
  14. It works on both, for me. Install it into the FileTypes folder. no space between File & Types
  15. You may vote for up to 4 entries. Poll will close on at 2300 UTC (11:00 PM UK Time) on Wednesday, November 15. See the Countdown for exact time remaining
  16. This is bad advice (regardless of the author's instructions). It's better to place all the files in the Effects folder.
  17. 'Access Denied'. Are you using some over zealous "security" software?
  18. The certificate required for TLS connections on Postimage.org expired today, and it looks like they have neglected to acquire a new one thus far. EDIT: They have an updated certificate in place now.
  19. Note that this is only for DLL/EXE files that are .NET Assemblies. i.e. files that contain managed IL code. Most DLL/EXE files are compiled to native x86 machine code, and thus are more difficult to modify.
  20. Note the laughing emoticon; it designates a joke. I assumed your Scratch project was for Halloween. Certainly fits the other creatures featured in the Halloween celebration. A gym, as in a gymnasium. A place where a large man people can become a slender man, among other things. Sounds extremely difficult and tedious. I wish you good luck with figuring it out.
  21. Considering that Halloween is now past, I've got an alternative slender project for you: The Gym. IRON67 gave you a pretty good answer for the image. For the sound, you're better off asking an audio community; perhaps the Audacity Forum or the like.
  22. There's more to an analog audio signal than just its frequency. Therefore, not all 9.1 Khz signals sound the same. Anyways, what's with this audio stuff? I thought we were talking about images caused by static electromagnetic interference.
