  1. Hello @Paulday and welcome to the forum I may be mistaken, but I think the original PSD was not 'compressed' properly as in the error message.
  2. And, when you are back up and running @Azure this is how to make your text transparent: 1. Use the magic wand to select the text. Play with the Tolerance in the top tool bar, until it 'selects' only the dark area. 2. Hit delete. 3. Clean up the 'hole' where the text was by using Feather or AA's Assistant.
  3. As you may have attempted multiple downloads, it may be a good idea to use this tool, then try to download again: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d If you have no luck, please let us know
  4. The wand is not going to give you straight edges. You must wand first, then use AA's Assistant, of Feather, afterwards.
  5. This should help you understand what Blur can accomplish: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/EffectsBlursMenu.html
  6. @Srawb please try this Plugin which may help. AA's Assistant. "How do I make it, so that if I use the wand tool, it "part selects" edge pixels". Try lowering the Tolerance in the upper tool bar.
  7. My 2 cents worth: I still use Windows 10 and I can open files & images in paint.net with no trouble upon double clicking πŸ‘

  11. Hello @HamsterKing and welcome to the forum I'm afraid that when you try to decrease a small image down ever smaller, you can expect to lose detai. You could try this: Image > Resize > and set Resampling to Nearest Neighbor.
  12. I believe it has been replaced by Shadow 3D. You can view this in the Plugin Index
  13. It does but it's a bit 'touchy' and you need to allow it on your Malware. Don't worry it is quite safe
  14. Thanks @lynxster4 I used your excellent "knit" tutorial for that one 😁

  17. You could do this: 1. Outline your letter on a separate layer. 2. Make your contours on your initial letter. 3. Go to the outline and repeat contours.
  18. Well, guess what? Most of the users on this forum DO add layers and I think we are the majority and you are the exception.
  19. Hello @Kazzie and welcome to the forum It must be a Plugin that you are missing. See if you can recognize it in my Adjustments:
