  1. Object of the Fortnight #34 – "An Aquarium Fish" (like a goldfish or tropical fish). Chosen by @MJW Examples can be viewed here. The deadline for entries is 2.00 PM EST (7:00 PM UK Time) on Saturday 2nd February, 2019. Please see the Countdown Timer for exact time remaining. You may link to alternative versions, but they will not be part of your entry. This thread is for posting competition entries only. If you're not posting an entry, please don't post here. If you want to talk about any of the entries, or ask a question regarding the competition, you can do so in the discussion thread found here. Competition Rules: 1. Your entry must not have a background/backdrop/scene; just the object on a transparent canvas. Shadows and reflections are fine. 2. Your entry must be 100% made using Paint.net. Don't use another image editor. Don't use stock images/photos/textures (in full or parts thereof.) 3. Max dimensions are 600x600. 4. You may modify or replace your image until the deadline. 5. Three entries per entrant are allowed. Please make a separate post for each one. New rule: 6. Upon a tie when winning, the person who hasn’t picked for the longest gets to choose the next theme. Many thanks to @toe_head2001 and @DrewDale for launching and hosting the competitions in the past. Previous comps have included the following topics: List of topics.
  2. Isn't that @lynxster4 a smarty pants I've never even heard of a Kuipa belt 😂 now I just learned something new! What a great piece @Drydareelin it looks like it's giving birth. Wow 😱 Have missed you on here and hope you will stay a while 😘 and I hope you are enjoying your new job.
  3. Many thanks @welshblue Your wife is right 🤣 This is the scream to me 😱
  4. Wow! More beautiful images @Seerose. You really have a flair with this
  5. Yup - I concur with @AndrewDavid that you possibly used Dents.
  6. Hello @mrt181 and Welcome I'm not really experienced with reading that code, but for starters let me ask you: 1. Which version are you trying to install - Classic or the Store bought? And if Classic, are you trying to download from this site? Requirements for Classic are: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update 2. Have you got the very latest Windows Updates?
  7. I've decided to give the OOTF a week's hiatus as (thank you @MJW for pointing this out) it has become in sync with the SOTW. So the next OOTF#34 will commence next Saturday19th January 2019. I hope everyone enjoys their sabbatical
  8. You did a masterful task @Magician fitting name too 👍
  9. @derekmhart I tried it again and I see what you mean. This is possibly due to the fact that it's pretty much fully saturated. It's mostly noticeable on lighter lines. What you can do, however, is on the duplicated layer, change the mode to Multiply, then merge.
  10. Herewith a quick video of what I was doing.
  11. Duplicate your dog and then Merge it down, and do those steps again. Every time you duplicate something, it will get darker.
  12. And the Winners are: 1st Place is @MJW with 8 votes 2nd Place is @Pixey with 7 votes 3rd Place is @lynxster4 with 6 votes Congratulations to everyone! All the entries looked good enough to eat. No doubt about that 🍪
  13. I would try this: 1. Duplicate the original dog outlines and merge down 2 -3 times. 2. On a new layer switch to the line/curve tool - I used size #8 brush and changed the style to rounded. 3. Go over the lines as needed.
  14. Hello @Splicer04 and Welcome to the forum You may want to try this tool and then try to reinstall: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
  15. Great Tiling - so speedy and easy This will be very useful, thank you
  16. Nice work @ReMake Great use of the clouds Plugin and the Twist 🍺 Great balls of fire 😱
  17. Sorry I'm late to thank you all on my Pendant 😱 @Seerose I'm so happy you dropped by to say those kind words Many thanks @lynxster4 Dear @Woodsy great to hear from you. I think it's a tear drop, the result of using one of @MadJik's plugins Hello @Maximilian Nah! It only looks expensive. Thanks a bunch for dropping by 🍺 @ReMake & @Joshua Lamusga thanks so much for your reps
  18. Ohhhh - so colorful and really cozy. I can only image how long it takes to put that together. All that's needed now, is a rather comfortable chair for me to sit on (and I'll bring my own Fosters). 🍺
  19. Hello @amritendu and Welcome to the forum Disk errors can be caused by various things, and not necessarily the fault of Paint. net. Usually you need to run chkdsk in Windows, which you seem to have done. Please retry what you did before and report back what happens. If there is a crash, or error message, please go to the little cog in the upper right hand corner of the PDN canvas window and copy the results, if any, from the Diagnostics. There is an option to Copy to clipboard.
  20. Hello @msoctopuslady and Welcome to the forum Please have your boxes and equal sign on their own layers. Then I would make a new layer and use a Grid lines Plugin and then drag your items accordingly to line them up. Additionally, there are a couple of Align Object Plugins that will help also. Object Align by here and yet another here. And another by @xod here.
  21. @ScrapbookWithPDN so sorry I didn't respond to your comment sooner 😱. Spankies for me 😂. I'll bet you saw the same 'other' tutorial that I did, which gave me the idea to reproduce it in Paint.net 🌞. Many thanks for dropping by 🌼
