During the .gif Save Configuration settings for .gif files, what do these mean :?: The transparency threshold pixels with an alpha value less than the threshold will be fully transparent? Dithering level? Multiply by alpha channel.

I downloaded the plugins and they are really cool. The square background is from the web hosting service. It is not from PDN problems or my errors. The background is not supposed to be there.

I am trying to get a round .png avatar with no background. I have tried to remove the background---Magic Wand----Cut----Elipse Select Tool-----Delete. If I color the background (white), I get a white background. If I make the white background fully transparent, I get a black background. If I delete the background, I get a black background. When I tried the Alpha Mask (I don't quite understand the process yet), there is a black background. I started this simple round avatar from a new file. :?
