  1. 6 years, 7 months, and 2 days later, in what is probably a forum record between feature request and implementation: Added. Also added color choosers, gamma-adjusted color blending, mirrored bars, and repeating bars, and tooltip info for Paint.NET 4. Beautiful new interface: Beautiful new example artwork
  2. Download the installer from this page: http://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html Click on "Paint.NET v3.5.11" on the right side of the page, not the big green download button, which is a lying, deliberately misleading garbage ad.
  3. Unfortunately, Red ochre's plugins are not currently available.
  4. Please post the crash log. The 4.0 alpha has known issues with the magic wand tool that I believe will be fixed in the next release, and this is probably the same issues, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. Anyway, just as a reminder, 4.0 is still in pre-release stages and is not really ready for prime-time usage. It still has lots of known and unknown bugs and is primarily available for testing, rather than real work. If you have to get real work done with Paint.NET, I recommend sticking with 3.5.11 for now.
  5. No one forced you to upgrade to 4.0α (which is still pre-release and not ready for primetime use) and no one is preventing you from switching back to 3.5.11.
  6. Nice gallery. I am quite surprised you didn't have one already though! Love the fuzzy sea monster
  7. All of my plugins are, to the best of my knowledge, fully compatible with Paint.NET 3.5.11 and 4.0α As always, please report any issues you may find in either version, and I'll do my best to address them (in less than a year this time!)
  8. You're using old versions of Smudge and Liquify. Get the newest ones from here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/7291-
  9. Updated: -Fixed an issue in Grid Warp that reset the grid if either grid size box was selected when pressing OK -Fixed a crash in Grid Warp when using Repeat Grid Warp on a larger image than the one the distortion was originally performed on -Added tooltip info for Grid Warp in Paint.NET 4
  10. Fixed. Also fixed a crash that occurs when using Repeat Grid Warp on a larger image. Also added tooltip info for Grid Warp in PdN4
  11. Updated: -Fixed a crash in ScriptLab when multiple plugins share the same assembly, namespace, and type name. -Added tooltip info to ScriptLab
  12. It does have it. Make sure you're using the current version, please.
  13. The tooltip pops up under the cursor, so the cursor is no longer over the menu item, which makes the tooltip go away, which puts the cursor back on the menu item, which makes the tooltip appear under the cursor, so the cursor is no longer over the menu item, which makes the tooltip go away, which puts the cursor back on the menu item, which makes the tooltip appear under the cursor, so the cursor is no longer over the menu item, which makes the tooltip go away, which puts the cursor back on the menu item, which makes the tooltip appear under the cursor, so the cursor is no longer over the menu item, which makes the tooltip go away, which puts the cursor back on the menu item, which makes the tooltip appear under the cursor, so the cursor is no longer over the menu item, which makes the tooltip go away, which puts the cursor back on the menu item, which makes the tooltip appear under the cursor...
  14. Well that's stupid. There's an interface for organizing them into groups and folders, but it doesn't do anything. I can drag them around into something resembling a logical order, though. But anyway, I also use ctrl+f to quickly find the icon I'm looking for.
  15. There was no way to organize the icons last time I checked, but that was a few versions ago. I'll check again.
  16. That is a definitely a Moiré pattern caused by viewing the image resized. Look at the way the pixels appear smeared in the middle of the squares; that's caused by a resize, not by a predictable RNG. If it was at 100% in Paint.NET, then your browser is resizing it. Press Ctrl+0 to reset your browser to 100% zoom.
  17. Yes, you can extend your EffectConfigDialog to show a full copy of the canvas and implement any sort of tool you want, including selections. See my Liquify or Smudge plugins for an example. You'll still be limited to the current layer, though.
  18. Try this plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=16347
  19. After selecting the Rectangle selection tool, click "Normal" in the toolbar and choose "Fixed Size"
  20. That's not an incompatibility with PDN4, but rather something to do with ScriptLab not liking to have multiple plugins with the same namespace and class name. Please PM me a screenshot of the files in your Effects folder, or better yet a zip of the whole thing.
