  1. well that's an issue right there. paint.net is written almost entirely in c# (with bits of c++ for shell integration) It's possible, however, to compile it in c# express. Read the threads on how to workaround the initial errors you get when doing so. Transitioning from vb to c# is fairly easy (that's what I did...) especially if you are familiar with java.
  2. If those don't answer your questions then perhaps we're misunderstanding what you mean by "blend." You really do need to be more specific.
  3. erm... you sure about that? @BoltBait: The effect washes out the colors, MOSTLY the blue. Maybe you could tweak it so the C channel is more intense, and it would probably go a long long way towards creating a more accurate conversion. Then again, it might look like bloody potato. I don't know. But it's worth a try yeah? EDIT: PLaying around with the plugin (using the image you show in your example pics), i found that by duplicating the K layer, the image looked sooooo much better.
  4. This looks like a lot of fun to play around with
  5. Known. He talked about it and why it's not fixed sooner in the week or sth. ahhh... i fixed it in my copy but i don't feel like redistributing different versions of pdn's files. could lead to confusion (and yelling by rick! lol)
  6. Well that's the problem. The only tokens that seemed to be marked [serializable] are mine... And that's only because I've developed the habit of doing that to every class in my DLL's jsut in case someone else wants to do that... Is there a way to first cast an EffectConfigToken to the appropriate effectToken.GetType() and then enumerate through each public property and variable in that and save those?
  7. It shhould work as long as you select PNG in the dropdown list. Don't just erase .jpg and replace it with .png, as then PdN will just saveit in JPG format with a false png extension. @RICK: this is a bug! fix it! yes. fly?
  8. First off, make sure you're saving in a format the supports transparency. (JPG does not). PNG is probably the best choice. (IMHO)
  9. Is it possible to save an effect token to disk and load it again later?
  10. Curves! I cannot live without curves! Which might be why I made the Curves+ plugin.
  11. wow that does look really cool. But then again, I am somewhat of a pyro, so my opinion might be biased in such matters =)
  12. Drop shadow plugin next time, please search before asking questions like that, as it has already been answered multiple times in this thread alone.
  13. Cornipus I think that actually looks pretty good. If you want to get it more flamey though, you might want to try using a higher pixel setting for the gaussian blur. also, you can play around with the curves a bit more to get a bit more red in it. Just a suggestion.
  14. *blushes* haha thanks =) on a side note, im glad to see you fixed your sig. it still gets the "enormous" point across, without breaking the forum layout on my laptop.
  15. thanks, but I already had it figured out. My mom kept yelling at me to go to bed, which is the only reason the new plugin isn't done yet....
  16. lol it's just a hug jeeez! wait, you mean i wasted all that perfectly good coffee? NOOOOO!
  17. ha! figured it out. not in codelab though... had to go with visual studio. sooooo new plugin coming soon. =)
  18. Throw a shoe at him! That's usually pretty good at convincing people.
  19. Jerkfight that looks really cool! Hazmaninan-devil that looks like some sort of hghly radioactive bomb exploding. COOL! =)
