You could always save a separate PdN file right before you save something as a flattened image.
-
I printed every page of it to read until I knew what all the buttons did, then I didn't need it anymore. I haven't ever asked for help on this forum. The tutorials do it for me.

I think a theme of exploration would be cool.
Star Trek comes unbidden to my mind...
-
jpope just made this tut even cooler.
-
Layers are easy. Just toy with them, and you will find new worlds of possibility.
-
Can't you do most of that already in PdN?
-
Once you have made it, no. This isn't like a word processor. If you make a mistake, just undo it and try again.
-
Just select the layer in the 'Layers' window. It should be in the lower-right hand corner of the screen. The selected layer will be highlighted.
-
Have you tried this?
You could have accidentaly exited out of the window.
-
Wow.
Let's see.
Simple tut,
quick to create,
endless possibilities,
I say this is a great tut!

Hehe. Babelfish
-
Does that say "He is Risen?"
-
My brain hurts. Do you mean like selecting a part of an image and saving that piece as a separate image?
-
I need to read more carefully. Sorry.

This has already been asked, but i will tell you anyway.
Click File, Save As, the this will come up. Select the drop-down box and choose your type.
[Edit] Wait, you want to change the default?
I don't know how to do that.

@GUEST: Woah! I love no. 2! Go Link! :D

*gazes at image in amazement*
You did that with nothing but the "factory settings?"
-
 That thing is freakin' big! I love it!

Teach me to do that !:!:

I would love to see a mettalic 'FatefulGravy' in there, same color but darker. The text doesn't need to be too big, maybe occupying that central area, but it would be awesome! I like the thing already!
-
Try the Magic Wand.
When using it, just click on the color you want to remove.
It uses something called 'tolerance' to measure how much of a color to remove; if you have a gradient applied, try using the Wand at different tolerance levels and watch what happens.

Depends on the border type.
Maybe one of these will work for you.

Sweet tut, man! This is awesome! I can use this for more than just text.

A 1280x1024 background I made. It only took me an hour because it is just a mix of polar inversion, glow, clouds, and a few other things.

This is the logo of the children's ministry I help to run.
Here is the original, which was actually a painting done by an attending artist. The pastor took a picture of it, from far away with high zoom, and he had me edit it a bit.
A few weeks ago, I redid it.
It was pretty easy, and took me maybe half an hour, using simple tuts found on the forums, but he was impressed. It has replaced the old one completely.
I am redoing it again, this time as a vectorized image, which will become a poster.
