1. do you change its color from orange to blue by using the curves tool, or is there another way?
2. Thanks, I felt torn between the startrek text and something a little more futuristic looking. I am truly impressed by your work as well.
3. Okay, since you're new, I'll cut you some slack, but by responding, will get this thread locked. Type in layers on the search area, or what you generally want to know. You can PM with a more descriptive question if that doesn't help. Good luck!
4. Thanks for the compliment, as well as the tip. Like your work as well. Here is my heroes avatar, Sylar stock image. And the short lived pegasus galaxy forum sig
5. Hello! I believe I understand the guidelines, and hopefully will not feel the wrath of the banhammer  Well, I guess I'll start with my first sig. Not to be confused with my second sig. My starship enterprise is from a render from renderosity, I created the starfield from the tutorial, and found the startrek script online. The planet in the second one I created with shape 3d, and another with the exploding planet tutorial and the lettering from I believe barkbark's tutorial.
6. Like the new plugin, and how various blurs effect the outcome. Great job!
7. well, here is a factor to consider. If you have a comp with less than 2gigs of ram and running vista, there will be a problem. I recently switched from a comp running xp and only256 mb ram, and about 20 brushes, and there were times pdn crashed. Some freeware competitor programs bypass this problem by loading the brushes before the program even starts. I believe this is why pdn starts so fast. That could be one way to solve this problem. I wouldn't know how, don't know C++ from Html! :?
8. Another thought, save as which you can save to your desktop and then copy or move the .dll to the effects folder. That seems the only way I can do things in vista.
9. Okay, don't know if this'll help ya, but vista is a stinker when it comes to plugins. I always download and save to desktop, then send to folder>paint.net effects. As far as abr viewer is concerned , click on search for folder, then export when your'e done. I created a obsolete plugins folder to throw out identical old plugins, in case the new one is buggy. It works for me, hope this helps.
10. This looks similar to the magnetic lasso PS uses, and the Paths tool that Paintstar uses (now free). It really saves time (a minute versus 15 mins) for an unsteady hand like mine. I guess on another thread it will be in PDN 4.xx, only time will tell.
11. If PDN had a brush tool like this, there would be no competition. That along with image resizing (making sure both layers are the same size rather than one streching over the other). I don't like the Photoshop layer effect (copy, paste), it's layer dialog could learn a thing or two from PDN. But it's portable!
12. so, I have only the snipping tool to work with, so here are some basic shots of the brush tool
13. Sabrown, do you want me to send you some screen shots of Artweaver's brush dialog? Maybe it will be able to illustrate what I can't explain. Keep up the good work!
14. HF, nice job! Have you done stuff like this before? Will be using this brush for sure!
15. Problem is none of the .avi's on my Computer work. Try converter tools like RAD Game Tools (Wiki this) SUPER (Wiki this) or VirtualDub (Wiki this) Make sure you have a codec pack like K-Lite installed so these programs will function.
16. Wow, this is so cool! So many ideas so quickly. I am so happy that my thread got locked, for once. I hope Rick does make a profit too. I will buy a mug and t-shirt, and maybe a bag if cafe press has, say a black or other colored bag for my new laptop!
17. Yeah, when I thought about the t-shirt, my wife reminded me that when she suggested that for her forum the final decision was up to the person in charge of the forum, and since Rick is in charge, that would be a natural order of things. So, if Rick wills it, he would have many happy followers
18. I wouldn't offer to do it. I know I would buy one. Sick of hearing all about Photoshop! I have all my Stargate/Star Trek stuff, got two cool shirts from Cafe Press, one is Kawoosh which is my wife's forum, the other is a saying from Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG-1. It would be a cool way to get donations, say $20 is what a normal shirt goes for, charge $30 or something. There are a lot of great artists on this site that would probably make great shirts with the logo on it!
19. I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the overflow, since it does deal with the program, in an indirect way. Would you guys consider creating Paint.Net T-shirts, or is that idea too corny? I know other forums have gone this route, and Cafe Press does a good job dealing with T-Shirt distribution. Just a thought.
20. If you look on the effects tab, scroll down past the subfolders and you will find draw a custom brush, or something to that effect. It will take a short time to open, so don't be alarmed.
21. Hope this becomes as popular as the custom brushes plugin!
22. If you can converte them to PNG Brushes here have to be PNG file format. I was reading in another program's forum that you can use abrviewer to view the brush, then save it as a PNG. Here's a link http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/
23. Ok, I apologize. I feel stupid, because I opened up two windows, the custom brushes thread and CJ's gallery. And of course, posted in the wrong one. What a noob move! Hope this edited post works, cause I'll look stupid too!
24. Wow! Cool pics/sigs/tags! Would it be possible for you to create a tutorial on how to make some similar? The Superman and a couple others have a neat brush look to them!
25. No offense, I was just goofing around, seeing if I could make it a brush and make it an attachment. Yep, I'm a nut  Also, I love your grass brush, and nickel's footprint brush. I could have fun with my new cat brush, and these as well. Sorry, no kids, just a cat  Well, I like Sam and Sam, please allow me to introduce you Topezia....mind... she is not accustomed to male brushes! (heh heh heh) Well, actually Sam is short for Sammi, so no male cats! Your brush is neat! I will have to work on mine being a little more interesting. I wonder if this is the first time one brush introduced itself to another! Thanks Topezia!
