  1. So I searched the forum, and I believe someone had this issue before, but did not see a solution. Scriptlab crashes saying there is a key already there or something to that effect. I have a portable version I installed later, in which it works. when I tried to load a script, it said error loading script. Any suggestions on how to fix these errors? Thanks in advance. 2. Ok doughty, I found the tutorial in my archive! It's from back in 2007. If it's not a huge deal I can repost if that's ok can't seem to paste, so here's the attachment Simple Snowflakes.doc
  3. You've found two great plugins. Thanks for pointing these out. Now I'm positive it was a tutorial for either a snowflake or star. I'll have to really dig through my archive to find some samples and possibly the tutorial. Your suggestions would be great for a christmas card, which I thinking about making.
  4. thanks! but It's hard to articulate, It is similar to the glitter plugin. It didn't necessarily look like a drawn star or snowflake. I was done on a black background and was white. similar to a lens flare effect. I feel like it was a tutorial now. It's probably a plugin that has another use. Glitter is good for this. I'll have to keep looking.
  5. Hello everyone! It's been a few years since I've been on this forum. I remember that there was a tutorial for a snowflake. It isn't the Koch snowflake, but similar to the starry plugin. I have lost any screenshots of it, but if anyone knows it, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. So glad you have a new site. Was getting tired of telling my hotmail account that paint.net was a safe link to open!
  7. This is not the lego system font, I have this showing up in pdn. My issue is with the lego thick font, which is the font lego uses for their product. When using paintstar, it shows up as an optional font, and works perfectly. This is why I thought I properly installed it, and got it off typenow.net. I have installed igloolaser and other fonts which did show up in pdn. I will try hitman x's tutorial to make sure.

  9. search the tutorial on cutting out images the easy way by tendercrisp, or just go nuts with the magic wand.

  11. I am trying to get a lego font to work, and it's true type. It only seems to show up in paintstar, and have restarted pdn several times, to no avail. Any reason for this to occur, or solution other than copy and pasting with classic Paint? :?

  13. thanks for doing this! FileFactory was driving me nuts, so it was simpler.
  14. I know I'm getting annoying, but there's not folder for "effects". Could you give me some advice? did you find paint.net in the program files folder? It will be where the installed programs go on your comp. As far as I know, as soon as you install pdn, there will be a subfolder called effects. Simon Brown has an awesome plugin called right click install. download that, run as indicated, and any download you save to desktop will be right click installed. No more need to mess with the effects folder
  15. cool pics. Neeto is cool too. Well, I have been using PDN for a little while, but not too creative, which is why it looks as though a not tech savvy 11 year old created most of my work (Is there such a being?) This forum has truly opened my eyes to what your generation can contribute to the art community, and graphics design at large. Keep up the good work.
  16. Interesting work. I take it you are an Ipod fan. Exploding planet is unique. Keep posting, and trying new plugins.
  17. It's normal, but another thought is, disk cleanup, defragment, and then you may have better luck. I have a ton of pics. use abr viewer to convert abr files to png. use a png cruncher to shrink the size of your pngs, that may help (png gauntlet).
  18. You do have the latest version of each. I do, and they work. So it might be a problem with overtaxing the ram on your comp (just a guess) or something unrelated to the plugin is your issue ( a corrupt brush, for example). Hopefully someone a little more tech savvy can help. If worse comes to worse, you can uninstall the program, delete all plugins, and start over, and see if you have the same problem. (make sure to get rid of all old plugins, sometimes they linger after installing new ones).
  19. I have tried, and gave up on using PDN on red eye removal, after using the lasso or other selection tool. I have been using XN view or ACDSee 10 for that purpose. I have tried PS elements to do it, and it's not any better than PDN, IMO
  20. Reading the latest PC World issue, Steve Bass says that Paint.Net is his choice of Photo Editors, since it is powerful and easy to use, and PhotoShop is too complex. (Will look at their site later to find links to article.)
  21. yep. It takes over the original PDN screen, with the brushes you loaded on the left hand side.
  22. Umm... All caps is not the way to ask for help, unless you're paint.net program is going to self destruct! Did you install the plugin, then run pdn and use the effects-use custom brushes. Sometimes right after you install the plugin it should be located in your-my documents folder. Have a look see there.
  23. the christmas present of pdn! a banner for my wife's website an attempt of learning brush techniques. a planet using tom jackson's fire plugin. @jeremytan-thanks, I'll check out your work!
  24. I am having the plugin crash with using my laptop's mouse, and no keys? So unless this is because somehow laptop mice are related to keys, this is unrelated to Myrridin's post.
