  1. You can find that in the menu Adjustments > Levels, or by hitting Ctrl + L.
  2. Whilst you're posting that image for us, give this a try: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=28790
  3. bluescasters, please review the Rules (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446) before posting again, most especially [rule=6]Rule #6[/rule] and [rule=15]#15[/rule]: not only is your topic title particularly generic and unhelpful, but your signature is far too large (some people's Internet connections are not the fastest to load so many images plus everything else). Because of the title alone, topic locked
  4. Hi there jeszbby. Sorry, no there isn't. There are no plugins, there is no system to support additional blend modes, and so far, there is no word for doing so in future versions. You can either choose a mode that is as close as, an equivalent in Paint.NET, or save as a flattened image (best to opt for PNG to reduce risk of quality-loss) in Photoshop with the blend mode in effect, then import to Paint.NET and continue work.
  5. Amongst almost all your work, I'm loving your latest addition, Pepper and Salt. The little details, such as the dispensing holes' rim, make it a fantastic piece! I enjoy visiting your gallery, and it's disgraceful I haven't commented before.
  6. You like your swirls, don't you? Looking good, McyD, there are some nice pieces here - as I said before, keep up the good work!
  7. I does indeed, and according to your description, the DivX issue might not have anything to do with your problem.I'm puzzled by the fact only a few file types save and open in Paint.NET. I cannot think at the moment to a further course of action, my deepest apologies. Perhaps somebody else does - I didn't want to leave you hanging without knowing who was helping or what was being done towards you.
  8. Ah, okay. These accidents happen, don't worry. Has repairing/reinstalling the .NET Framework worked? You can reinstall Paint.NET afterwards to make sure.
  9. Hey varkpilot. This tutorial might give you some ideas: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=28790 See how this helps, and if you require a little more direction, do not hesitate to ask.
  10. McyD, you are more than welcome to start your own, personal gallery in The Pictorium (viewforum.php?f=26), where you will be able to receive comments and critique on your artwork. Remember to only create one thread, though. Also, whilst you're at it, you will need to refresh yourself with the Rules (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446), and the Pictorium Guidelines (viewtopic.php?f=26&t=22620). Because of the nature, I'm locking this topic. No hard feelings . See you soon in The Pictorium!
  11. Try repairing or reinstalling your .NET Framework. You can repair from Add / Remove Programs in XP or Programs and Features in Vista. Also, details on how your Paint.NET was originally 'deleted' might help - something might be lingering that shouldn't be.
  12. Good greetings kirarxe. After a quick search for that error code, I found two topics that would be of interest to you: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24645&p=182338 viewtopic.php?f=10&t=25542&p=196741 The first particularly as it only took a reinstall of Paint.NET and the .NET Framework to work out the problem. In the second link, it was advised that the Framework should be repaired; we never found out if that worked for the user. In sum: give the Framework a reinstall or repair. Good luck!
  13. Ideas? Only one for the moment from myself: are you saving all to the same folder? If so (or not so), does the folder contain any video files of the DivX variety? I only ask as there is a (known) reported issue regarding this particular video format.
  14. Moved to Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
  15. If you want to have a white background, then you can either: 1) save as 24-bit, which will default any transparent pixels as white; or 2) as ragingsuns pointed out, have a white layer underneath your image, flatten, and save with 'Auto' selected. This will have it saved in 24-bit. Personally, I like to have my awkward knickers on and purposely bypass clever features you build in.
  16. Are you saving as a 32-bit PNG rather than 24-bit? For context: 32-bit can handle transparency, 24-bit cannot.
  17. Two things: 1) Paint.NET doesn't include a pen tool; 2) if by 'pen tool' you mean 'paintbrush' or 'pencil', then the Line / Curve tool used in this tutorial by Simon, and originally illustrated by Tendercrisp, is far superior. Learn it, it's worth it. Aside from that, I'm pinning this tutorial in the stead of Tendercrisp's. I understand how fond we all are of his tutorial, but without images and written instructions, it's not only useless, it's also breaking tutorial guidelines .
  18. You can also hit Enter or the Esc key, additional to Ctrl + D and right-clicking. Now the housekeeping. You should read the Rules before posting again; as you will notice, your topic title breaks [rule=6]Rule 6[/rule] as it is nowhere near descriptive enough. This can cause problems for a lot of people. We're not stopping you from posting again, in fact, we'd be more than happy to extend the hand of help when you need it again. Topic locked
  19. Hello Flaxo. Have you tried this topic, from the top of the Troubleshooting section: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=854 ...? Futhermore, a little more information about your computer would help a lot, such as operating system and RAM.
  20. Hello desertdweller. May I assume that English is not your native language, and you are not confident with it? For this assumption, I will give the benefit of the doubt with your topic title - I have edited it for you. Do be warned of the Rules about topic titles: [rule=6]click here to read more[/rule]. For your issue, have a look at layers on the Help Files (See below or go to Help > Help Topics within Paint.NET). With layers you can place one image on the top of another, moving the images around as you want to over the background. Once you have finished, you can 'flatten' the layers to make them into one, then save the file. Take a look at these links for more information: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/LayersWindow.html http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/L ... Modes.html If you need to cut out an image (so it has a see-through background) have a look at this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=28790 If you need any more help, don't hesitate to ask. Just remember those Rules .
  21. I'm terribly sorry, with a title like that, I was inches away from locking this as spam. Additional to HELEN's advice, you could also try the Smudge plugin. Although, it should be used carefully so not to distort the feature and/or background too much. There is also another plugin that enabled the user to morph an image at will, à la Photoshop's Liquify, but I cannot seem to find it at the present time. (No, it was not Mike's April Fools' joke.)
  22. That's because it might not be a bug per se, rather additional to the same bug. I believe I scrolled too far for a restart to reinstate the tools' location, resulting in the need to reinstall.I suppose I'm detailing the most extreme consequence of the bug. Well, no, the most extreme would be having the toolbars never returning, but let's not jinx it now...
  23. Thus, moved to General Discussion & Questions and locked.
  24. Simon Brown recognised that a certain degree of control is missing in Paint.NET's printing, as a result, writing this plugin:viewtopic.php?f=16&t=27968 Before, we would advice you to save in Paint.NET and open it Windows Paint to print, this plugin mimics much of the control people would like from their printing. Do tell if this works out for you.
  25. Greetings flavio scorpione. Try this link: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=26983 As well as this link: [rule=6]viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446[/rule] Topic locked
