  1. I was wondering if someone could make a plugin that emulates how flash does the pointer tool. Example... if you hover your mouse over the middle of a straight line, you could curve it in different directions, same too for the ends. (However, if the line is too straight, the ends won't curve.) Edit: This is actually an add-on to the pointer tool, not part of the line tool.
  2. GIMP is just trying to be a clone of Photoshop 4, which it's failing at.
  3. http://wiscsoftware.wisc.edu/wisc/produ ... ution=1048 For our price. I may not be able to get that kind of money within the time I am enrolled though (January to May.) If I do, I'll probably also be able to get Office 2007 Enterprise (Which is 72 USD) at the same time. We'll see. If I can, you'll never see me here again to bother you.
  4. And I've already suggested more mainstream developers, or even try to implement plugins/addons into main releases.
  5. Like I said, I don't really know how to code, so I'm SOL.
  6. Since people like it when I compare this program to photoshop, I'd like to be able to roll up those palletes rather than to close them. Also, I'm a guy.
  7. I am, I should go check it during school. But chances are, it's still about 600 USD, which would still take about a year. I also plan on getting Office 2007, which would take about a half a year or so. CS is 10, CS2 is 10.5 btw.
  8. It's coded all in .NET, right? If I had a Visual Basic Editor, I'd be glad to do it. But I've forgotten my .NET Class information, so I can't change it, sorry. Plus, I can't afford 500+ USD for Visual Studio 2008. I no longer plan to take coding classes, so I can't get a free copy from my teachers.
  9. -_- I'd post a screen of PS to show you what I mean, but I can't without pirating it.
  10. I believe it's the DPI. Since Paint.NET calls DPI [Resolution].
  11. Yeah well, when I turn off resampling in a program like photoshop, the size (height/width) grays out, but the resolution stays editable. Why is that?
  12. When I change the Resolution of the image, I also want it to change the size of the image to match. Could we have an option to turn off resampling?
  13. Then why does it draw correctly in Photoshop 7? Because it shows the dialog when you press them, not after you release. GIMP Is the same.
  14. Then should I have made a new thread? Most forums require you to post in an old thread. -_-
  15. At 1200+ USD for the suite? Okay. At least it's better than getting the stuff individually. But it'll be over a year before I get that much money (You heard me, over a year.)
  16. I'd love it if I could move dialogs/windows when there's no file open (IE: Tools, Layers, Color, etc. windows.)
  17. The arrow buttons for when there are a bunch of files don't scroll when you keep pushing down on the button, I'd like that to be possible in a future version. As well as, when we right-click an image in the multi-file area, a right-click menu that has "Close All/Other Files/Pictures" option, as well as a "Save All/Others" option.
  18. Will Paint.NET eventually allow us to select the dithering type when saving a GIF? (Noise, Diffusion, Pattern, No Transparency) Also, will Paint.NET ever allow us the ability to save as PNG-8? And will Paint.NET ever allow us to choose how many colors are in the output image? (IE: Manual Input, saved color settings (Like 256, etc.))
  19. I would like Paint.Net to get the current Default Browser, rather than Internet Explorer all the time.
  20. After pressing CRTL+SHIFT+S, Paint.NET Waits for the keys to be released, and doesn't show the save as... dialog UNTIL these keys are released. It should show the dialog when they're pressed, rather than after they release. This is with v3.20 on Windows XP SP2 With all three .NET Frameworks (I have a variety of programs, one will need one or the other. I still have a program that requires .NET 1.1 -_-) with .NET 2 and 3 having their Service Packs.
  21. Paint.NET actually has free transform at the moment, but you can only transform in square-like shapes due to selections being as such. If you had envelope, you'd be able to literally deform the shape itself (IE: transform it from being a square into a triangle.) The perspective transform would also do that to a degree.
  22. I know that, but even still. The blending options are the only reason I'm not switching over to the open-source type products. Has the person tried getting more developers? If not, I suggest the person does. I don't have enough money to afford such a thing (even 200 USD is too much). The last time I used Photoshop, it was pirated. If there was blending options in other programs, I wouldn't have to pirate. No, GIMP doesn't have it either. See this Bugzilla Entry for more information on it. Quite frankly, NO free image editor has the blending options I need.
