The post above, I did find this and I have installed it and checked three times, there are no more Paint.NET things to remove.

The error message I get is: Paint.NET Setup Front-End has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. And asks me if I want to send Microsoft an error report.

Hi, I installed Paint.NET a while ago and hadn't used it for a while, then I couldn't get it to open again. I tried to uninstall it and it wouldn't let me. I tried to install over it and it still won't open up. I came to look at this forum and found the advice to get Windows Install clean up and remove Paint.NET and followed the forum's advice. Then downloaded the newest program version and I still get the error reporting message coming up because it can't open up. I am using XP Pro. Can anybody help?
