  1. Thanks Nab, I really did like those highlights. Here's another. I really don't think I did as good as a job with this one. And there's some of that aliasing again
  2. Exactly what I was thinking
  3. No problem Lance You should probably check out this guy's gallery. His work is where I got the idea.
  4. @Kemaru: Love it, especially that subtle shadow behind the logo. Had my PSP still been working, that would be my wallpaper. @Eslador: I like the lighting and the concept itself. Also, again, forgive me for the small size of the wallpaper
  5. I know, thanks for the tip. I'm not sure why I started with such a small size. Also, what I did to achieve the 3D effect was repeatedly duplicating the layers and moving them 1px down from the previous layer. All that antialiasing stacked on top of eachother might have contributed to the aliased edges as well.
  6. Thank you! I used the Rotate/Zoom adjustment in the Layers menu to zoom out a bit, that's what deterred much of the aliasing.
  7. Yea that's my bad, I think I fixed it though. I posted a slightly updated version in the Desktop Art umbrella. Edit: Okay it's not really fixed, but I think the aliasing is less noticeable.
  8. Forgive me for the small size, I started with a small canvas. Major credit to El3ment4l on deviantART, his work is the main inspiration for this. @Bryan: Maybe post the images themselves, rather than a download link?
  9. Well then, back to my workshop I suppose. Thank you.
  10. Back from the dead Please tell me this looks realistic.
  11. This idea intrigues me. I can actually see this going somewhere. The idea of messing with pixel art pops up in my head every now and then, and I do find some interest in it. Tutorials or a dedicated sub-forum seem like the right way to go.
  12. Thanks guys (gal  ), I really appreciate it. Now when's the next contest? Let's give some other people a chance to win
  13. Poll done already? Oh look, I won Let's hope Kanye West doesn't interrupt my acceptance speech.
  14. Thanks HELEN. I've seen that Glossy Faucet of yours, quite mindblowing in my opinion. Good thing you didn't enter that here
  15. Oh would you look at that, at the moment I'm tied with the apparently infamous HELEN at 3 votes. Yay me
  16. I think I understand what you're saying. Either save the image as a PNG, which supports transparency, or crop out the excess "tail" area.
  17. It's apparent that English is not the op's first language. We would love to help you, but please post all questions in the General Discussions & Questions forum. This forum is for tutorial publishing only, as stated by the large yellow box at the top of your page: EDIT: Now irrelevant
  18. Is the Save As function not allowing you to choose where to save your image?
  19. Maybe you can drop a *hint hint* on who you think is going to win?
  20. Hmm, not quite sure I understand you. I've used both alpha mask and gradient mapping for this tutorial and seem to get the same result. You caught that I stated to alpha mask before blurring the second time, instead of gradient mapping after blurring, yes?
  21. Just pointing this out - instead of using Gradient Mapping, you can just run Alpha Mask to get rid of the white before blurring for the second time. Otherwise, nice results, and I love the method you used to anti-alias the drops.
