I selected the girl with the magic wand altough it wasn't 100% and moved it to the bottom but how do i make the chess mark that remained above desappear?

I managed to do the layers but the problem is that i use the pan to move the upper layer to where i want it but it's won't move . why is that?

it's not working. first i do copy to the picture above then i go to picture below and do paste in to the new layer but when i do it it shows me the upper picture only.

I have 2 open pictures which i want to put one above the other,but i don't know how. thank u,i'm new.

I'm not talking about a whole object or background but just a few lines here and there that i want to erase in order to see the colour below. Why such a basic feature doesn't exist?

It's a photo which i used the paintbrush on it and i'm trying to erase the selections. How do i make it transparent?

I'm trying to change the color of the background of a pic. I used the lasso to select the object in the middle,so now I have 2 selections,the object in the middle and the background.I had to increase the lasso selection in order to cover all the object but it includes some of the background as well. How do i fix it?make the selections correctly? Thank u.
