  1. Disabled hyperthreading on my machine and now I am not getting any more freezing problems, but I don't think that's Racingdj08's problem because I don't believe pentium M supports HT.
  2. I fixed the problem , when I reformatted my computer I only installed .NET 2.0 and 3.0 and never 1.1, I just uninstalled.NET installed 1.1 then 3.0 (also reinstalled paint.NET) EDIT: ot reverted back to freezing repetitively, it takes me ten goddamn minutes to resize an image.
  3. Not sure, doesn't seem like much hardware-wise, I have reinstalled Paint.NET and I have the latest .NET framework installed (3.0). I've tried exiting all programs, and disabling Antivirus before running paint.NET but nothing seems to have any effect, the program just repetitively freezes throughout use. My other two computers work perfectly with paint.NET One is Pentium 4 630 HT, 1 GB RAM and a x300 Graphics; XP MCE Other is a 3200+, 1GB RAM and x200 Graphics; XP Home They both have .NET 1.1 and 2.0 installed
  4. could it have do do with the .NET version I have installed? my other two PC's which panit.NET works perfectly on have .NET 1.1 and 2.0, mine 2.0 and 3.0.
  5. It's just a patched uxtheme.dll and never caused any problems before, just switched to classic theme and it still happens.
  6. No I'm running not running any applications with it it just randomly stops responding.
  7. I've been having this same problem it randomly freezes for about 30 seconds, comes back then does it again. Pentium 4 3.0E HT 3.0Ghz Prescott 1GB DDR 400 PC3200 RAM Windows XP Professional SP2 Nvidia GeForce 7600GS
  8. Every time I open Paint.NET do anything it freezes up for about 30 seconds, and does it repetitively very often while I'm using it, it makes it completely unusable. I've tried upgrading and reinstalling (I am using the latest version 3.05) OS is Windows XP Professional SP2 Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz (HT) 1GB RAM 7600GS
  9. I was previously using Paint.NET beta 3, and today I was prompted to update to RC1, which I did, not PAINT.net chews up all my CPU and freezes, I can't do anything without it freezing and lagging, beta 3 did not do this. Pentium 4 3.0E HT (HT enabled) 1 GB PC3200 RAM XP Professional SP2 GeForce 7600GS EDIT: I went into the BIOS and disabled HT and now it is working correctly, so it seems like a bug with hyperthreading.
