  1. Does anyone know if there is a 'stroke outline' feature on paint.net? Thanks
  2. I totally agree with Crazy German - please would you look into a layer styles function - I also miss 'feather' and 'stroke' I am a digi photog teacher and I am working in a school that only has paint.net - it is very good for a free download but I'm afraid doesn't replace photoshop as some of you claim!
  3. I use the 'layer via copy' command a lot in Photoshop - is there an equivalent in Paint.net for placing a selection onto a new layer? Is there also any equivalent to layer styles for adding a drop shadow effect? Thanks Joy
  4. I have just discovered paint.net today as I have to teach a beginners digital photo class starting tomorrow night (adults) and this is the programme they have installed. I am an experienced photoshop user so I am quickly having to find all the equivalents in paint.net. so I look like I know what I'm talking about! One of the first things I looked for after I had discovered how to select and the add and subtract from the selection was the 'feather' feature - I would consider this a basic tool which is crucial to good digital manipulation - I am dissapointed to find from reading your forum that there isn't one!! Please consider adding this to your future versions of this otherwise great free programme - it is vital!!! In the meantime if anyone knows of a way around this which gives an acceptable equivalent result I'd be grateful Thanks
