  1. @Extra Maybe an addition to your Spacescape quest Thinking of making an Asteroid field, any ideas?
  2. @natjo1986 Good job, I don't think Tut are meant to be follow to the T They are there just to open people's minds and give ideas If you want, plz post your work to my sunset tut also, so others can see. I too notice the "cut off" from the water plugin But you can adjust the setting Distance a little to "push" the cut off part down, till it's gone

    Sunset

This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it As requested, This tut will help you try to draw something like this. Since I don't remember all the steps and most people asks for how to to the sky, I will start with the sky. Remember, Layers and blending are your friends. 1.New Image--Pick the color you want for the sky, USE Clouds 2.USE Move selected pixels to Stretch the image side by side. [/u] 3.Add New Lyayer---Gradient 4.USE Reflect as blending mode---Merge Layer down 5.Add New Lyayer---Gradient 6.USE Color Burn as blending mode---Merge Layer down 7.Another Add New Lyayer---Gradient---Overlay as blending mode---Merge Layer down 8.Add New Lyayer---Move Layer down---fill layer with color of the ocean. (If you want a Sun...Now would be a good time to add a new layer with a Sun before the next step) 9. USE Water Plugin. 10. Optional--to make water darker Add New Lyayer---Remember to set the 2nd color's Alpha to 0---Gradient---Merge Layer down Done This is what you end up with (Note: The Sunset took much more adjustments and layers to finish, so keep working on it until you are happy with it) Hope this helps.. Ideas & comments welcome Edit: Added these step from my post on the 2nd page of this tut. Ok Let's do a simple one for the sun. Follow the settings as image above for all layers. For the sun use Glow and Gaussian Blur and Zoom Blur in any order as you like...mix and match After you finish---flatten image---use water You should have your 1st sunset
  6. Thanks And to all who PMed me. Sorry I didn't notice the new PMs. I will make a tut ASAP.
  7. With the new settings is even better But I have found some bugs with the latest plug-in. When zoomed in, and Use Feather@10. Move slider from grow to shrink then Grow again. In the zoomed area will have an effect that will look like users apply Grow-feather then apply Shrink-feather. And "this" feather effect will only show up in the zoomed in area when feather is applied...and the rest of the area will look different like only grow-feather has been applied.. Hope this make sense I can post some screen caps if you don't understand. BTW, from this bug I found out that Apply Grow-feather then 2nd time apply Shrink-feather will make it look very nice and smooth. can there be a setting that will allow users to do this 2 steps in 1. Thanks!!
  8. @usedHOND: Only if you have too much time message in barcode "Awesome plug-in Thanks"
  9. Awsome!! Just what I needed to add some extra for a photo that I'm working on

Using the same way as my tut plus a little more (2hrs) messing around with adjustments... it could be even better (yeah, its a little too blury) You're welcome and glad it works out for ya Post what you draw if you can for all to see

    Drawing a Gemstone

Thank you all for the support @MadJik, I like the one on the right better. @adamd, Gemstones are one of the hardest thing to draw, because of all the facets, reflection, refraction and colors. I am sure someone can do better then me, If you can, you are wellcome to try, and share your know how with us. Write a better tut, I'll be happy to learn more skill. At least I learn how to make the shiny reflection from making this tut.

Yeah I know That's why there is this line near the end of the tut "Don't foget to use Feather on each layers to soften them before Flatten" Sorry was away for the weekend, Thx all who helped Thats how i got the blue, select RGB at top left, put a check mark on whichever color you want to adjust, play around with this you might find something you will like better. Hope this helps! http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ + good habbit = no virus Hope this helps!
