true, true....i been trying to make my mom buy me a scanner.....but she won't.

i drew a picture recently anduploaded it from my webcame. when I try to color it.....it looks too......cartoonish....the picture is....well dark and a little(a lot) grainy. http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/880/cutiegx1.png any tips on how in the world I could get that CG art look?
