  5. While this thread, frankly is very off-topic, and Paint.NET doesn't support C4D, I'll be pretty and awesome by letting you know that deviantART is great for stuff like that 8) ...68% chance this thread is about to be locked by either Ash or d.a

  9. @Benji2 and all others who commented: Thanks a bunch! However, I still need to work on the transitions between sections of the song... it seems like two different songs are being smashed together at the moment @d.a: A funny little piece of awesome called FL Studio (acronym for Fruity Loops), though it's the plugins that make it great. See, the audio world is different from graphic design in its openness. There are literally hundreds of audio editing programs, but they're all simply diverse launch pads for the plugins (VST, VSTi, MIDI, DXi, MAS, ect.). VST is the most used and most supported by far, and the best place to find them is at KVR Audio. For the 1-minute WIP I posted, most of the beat was from the plugin Rez 2.0 I've heard that Linux Multimedia Studio is the best free, open source "launch pad" for Windows (irony), but I haven't tried it myself just yet. ______ By the way, I'm ultra hyped up about the Magic's triumph over the Lakers (see my location on the left) 8) W00T!

  11. "Hey, uH? How's it going?" Good, thank you. "What have you been up to?" Oh, not much, just working on some techno... "Fascinating! Please, elaborate!" Well, over the summer, I figured I'd start learning me some music theory, so I whipped out the good ol' k'pedia (When in doubt, whip it out). I figured that instead of reading pages upon pages on how to make a nice chord or two, I decided to jump right into music. I hadn't played guitar in like 5 years (got rid of it), so I got some DJ and PC Synth software and began playing with it. I now realize that when most people make techno songs, they use little to no effort to make these seemingly elaborate tunes and beats. Using all free synth plugins, hand-clicked MIDI piano chords, and an mp3 or two, I've worked my way to a partially-completed remix/cover of one of my favorite Coldplay songs, Trouble. You may notice that I did the inhumane and Auto-Tuned vocalist Chris Martin's voice

  13. Wow, that was locked? I liked the game enough to post it on another forum, and it's thriving over there (well over 1000 pages)
  14. Rant: Thinking my white PS3 controller was coming as early as tomorrow, already putting all the cords together and connecting it to my TV, today I received an email notifying that it has been shipped today. That means it'll be over a week before I'll be able to use my PS3... *sniff*
  15. I saw it, too. It looks like some high-end touchscreen Vertu Sony already has an OLED touchscreen Walkman (looks pretty good, too) Far from it. Multitouch screens have been around since the 80s, and capacitive touch screens have had patents as early as '94 (from my shallow research).
  16. ^lives in a country he hates Myxomatosis is Radiohead's best song. v will say something about either of the two lines above.
  17. I most definitely will get an account Chances are, it'll be the same as my twitter (del_rio). ...you know, there should be an official video game gathering of Paint.NET users. PS3 or Xbox may not be ideal, but a PC-based game would be great. A modded game of Counter-Strike or Halo CE. This would be your best bet.
  18. If feel pathetic: Funny, though. I get around double when downloading certain things.
  19. I've been... around. Hanging around my deviantART more often I'm doing quite well, thank you. Last week, my brother gave me a PS3... a broken PS3. So I went on eBay and bought a $30 power supply replacement, and it works again. Only problems: no games, no controllers. So a few hours ago, I hopped back on eBay in search of a controller (pretty tedious to sort through the 3rd party Chinese stuff), and found a Buy It Now for $41.98, free shipping. The best part wasn't just the price ($1 lower than Amazon), but the fact that it's Ceramic White [link], which is only available in Japan. They fetch for ~$60 elsewhere. It's being shipped from Asia as we speak
  20. *pops in* ¡Congrats, pyro! *pops out* [bTW, name changed to The Alfredo? Heh.]
  21. Yeah, I middle-click links like soul41 (in my mind, all links either open in the same tab or a new window). However, I think Firefox has a setting somewhere to automatically open all new window links in a new tab (in which case you'd have to Shift+Click to open in a new window).
