  1. Well, use explorer either directly or by opening up "my computer" click on the C: Hard Drive, Click on Program Files, Click on the Paint.NET folder, and then you'll see the effects folder, just move the extract dll, in this case Feather.dll into the effects folder. Next time you start up Paint.NET it will be in the effects menu under Blurs. Other plug-ins are added the same way, except for plugins like the icon/cursor one which is put into formats.
  2. Sorry, I was not sure that that was acceptable. 3. Yes, I do, Only from the last attempt, though. Since they mostly said the same thing, only differing on the size of the image I attempted to feather.
  4. I like this plug-in. It helps to smooth edges if I have to remove a shadow effect. Especially since I can do it on the entire image simultaneously. If the image is square, that is. If the image is rectangular, then trying to feather anything other than a small selected area causes PDN to crash.
  5. Windows update is bugging me about installing .NET Framework 3.0, but before I do I have a question. Will this interfere with Paint.NET since it uses the 2.0 .Net Framework. I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere but a search of the forums yielded nothing.
  6. Try it this way and see if it works. O.K. it works, if I double click.
  7. I cannot get the move selected pixels to do anything but distort the selection. Even cut and paste only lets me grab nubs and distort the image. I have figured out a workaround, though. Just copy (or cut) the selelction, paste into a new layer and move the entire layer. It's awkward and makes precise placement difficult. But...
