I'd like to change the background of this camera image from white to #211F20. I'm familiar with the magic wand tool, but that get tricky with the image has a shadow or slight blur as in my original. Everything I do gives it a real jagged edge. Can anyone offer me any suggestions?

Thanks, I think I got the gradient figured out after I uploaded. Question -- was this a new feature for 3.0 that wasn't in 2.72?

Yeah, like me!! I am trying to get myself off MS-Photodraw -- this is such a different animal. I looked at that YouTube video and the gradient tool appears to be missing from my toolbox. Is there something I need to do to display all the toobox icons?
