I want to create a gradient background like below, how do I accomplish this? Also, same with header. Anyone have tips on creating nice background headers like show below?

Thanks that worked but now saving in gif format is losing some quality. This is not the case for me in photoshop. How do I retain the full quality in gif format?

I want to make a circle gradient / fade around an image so that the further you go out from the center of the image, it fades out (into white). How do I accomplish this one?

I got it through a new layer actually

I used the magic wand and made portions of an image clear (magic wand + delete button). When I copy / paste that entire image over another psd image with purple background, the clear portion of the image is not showing "clear" or transparent over the purple background. Why would that be?

Gimp and PSD are also image editors, but they allow you to edit the text layer when you click on that layer.

Something I find a little annoying is after I type in some text and go back later to edit, selecting A icon and clicking anywhere over that text (that layer is already selected) it does not allow me to edit the text but assumes new text. How do I work around this?

Is there a way or plugin that enables you to resize a layer? Also, is there a plugin that enables you to directly select a layer when you click on it (as it does in PSD)?

It is one layer gif format. I chose wand and clicked on the background area, it made the color a few shades darker.

I have a gif file I wish to remove the background color from. In photoshop I can simply choose fill > clear and done. I cannot find such option here. Please explain how I can simply use clear fill on the background area.
