  1. I'm trying to update Paint.net! But I can't! Because of the errors. (see above pictures) EDIT: I believe it was in the First post you told me to read that suggested I try to do the .net framework repair!
  2. Honestly, I don't understand any of it. I haven't been able to update since I installed the version I currently have. I will "wade" through all the information you guys have provided (again) and try it again, maybe I missed something before. I will notify if I figure it out or if I don't and just stay with this old version I have. Thanks for trying to help!
  3. Thanks Rick. I knew I tried that before but forgot that this is what I ran into last time, and again this time: (I have no idea what it means!) And I spent 4 hours on the phone with Microsoft and $35.00 later, I still have "select" problems with windows installer.
  4. Thanks Rick. I knew I tried that before but forgot that this is what I ran into last time, and again this time: (I have no idea what it means!) And I spent 4 hours on the phone with Microsoft and $35.00 later, I still have "select" problems with windows installer.
  5. grrr...having a problem with updates. They won't install. This is one error, the other is windows installer problem! Can we update without using that windows installer, which seems to decide what it feels like installing! Or, must I remove Paint.net completely and start from scratch? (This Windows installer is really ticking me off.)
  6. I am trying to learn PVC texturing with this program (which isn't against IMVU rules) but yes if you're referring to the pictures being posted, you're right. Having these pictures up is a bad idea, because noone can be trusted anymore. I will remove those pictures immediately. Edit: fixed
  7. Thanks for trying to help! I'll try to figure it out!
  8. I think I might be skinning! I am deriving off of this product: Edited to remove picture Then, I have to make an opacity map from the template below, to achieve the design I want. Is that what you mean by skinning?
  9. Well, thus begins my problems. I have no idea what the settings should be. I never really worked with layers in Paint.net. (I mostly use RealDraw Pro, which is object oriented.) Really just learning all this stuff myself, but I have an individual who is using Paint.net (one of my "converts") asking me how to do these things. Layers and the effects throw me off since I haven't messed with using those. Sorry for being an idiot, but I just have no clue what to do or where to start.
  10. PVC=Plastic Edited to remove picture IMVU= 3D chat client in which I am a developer for. BTW= By the way. Edit: Or is this just a matter of me making the white areas fit a solid colored area? Edit Again...sorry...the picture is not my work. I "borrowed" it off the IMVU catalog to show you an example.
  11. Hi Gang, If there is a tutorial for this subject or the question has already been asked, please guide me in the right direction. I'm making a 3D outfit. I want the material to be black PVC. How do I make that effect? Texture size is 256 x 512. I will apply it to an opacity map. (If anyone is familiar with IMVU, they'll know what I mean.) If you need any other info let me know. Also, If I need plugins for this, links would be great. Thanks for the help! BTW...On my homepage, and in the forums there, I totally support Paint.net. Even converted some GIMP users. (I'm anti-GIMP, sorry!)
  12. I finally have them all. Don't know how it happened, but it did. Thanks for everyones support and help!
  13. Yes. Word has them all, Print shop has them all....
