  1. Not exactly. This method allows you to control the type of blur used.
  2. Do you have the original, because that is a horrible mask job (cut out)...
  3. Splinter, Frosted Glass, Noise, Unfocus Blur, Fragment, Brightness/Contrast, Curves+, various Blending Modes and yes, Vignette... No tutorial on this as I did not write down the steps and the image was flattened too many times for me to reconstruct the process. Thanks for the comments though. Edit: Oh, and my tablet was used in the original sketch.
  4. Not sure what this is supposed to be. I just thought it looked cool...
  5. Photo of Drawing...or is it? Not realistic enough for this section?? What if I told you this was done entirely in PdN... Just click the image to see the original sketch (done with PdN's pencil tool). I was going for a crayon/charcoal effect.
  6. It's impossible to get the effect he is getting with displacement because he never shows his displacement map. To be honest, Curtis' displacement plugin is better than the option in PS.
  7. Pixel size is relative to your DPI when displaying or printing an image. That said, to increase the size of the dots by comprising each of more pixels, use PdN's Resize option (Ctrl+R) with the Sampling size set to "Nearest Neighbor". Just increase the image size in multiples of 100%...
  8. @ Ash, LJXD & LFC4EVER, Thanks for the comments. I agree about the smoke, Ash. My favorite part is the is the base of the lettering and the reflection. The flames coming off the top of the letters look a lil' fake...
  9. How's this? EDIT: If you wondering how I did it... I duplicated the image twice and I moved one copy up 1px and the other down 1px. The I set the blend mode of the dupes to "Darken". Then I deleted all but the part that covered the line in the middle...
  10. Ed, would it be possible to make an effect that combines Halftone (set to 'Lines') and Seismograph to get shading similar to the horse pictured below? P.S. I LOVE the Halftone effect!
  11. Also try running Ed Harvey's new Halftone plugin over clouds...
  12. I would like the ability to save and load a "Settings Profile", where all presets can be migrated from computer to computer...
  13. That 'Halftone' plugin is hi-quality stuff. Love the highlight on your ripple effects too.
  14. Re-read the first post...Rick is asking what you would like to see in a configuration dialog....
  15. Make each gradient on a new layer with the blending mode set to 'Difference'. I have come across similar tutorials before and this is the only was I have found to duplicate that step...
  16. I think it looks like it was rusted and then painted over... But that was done using the XOR blending mode on a blurred version of the original that was bended further by lowering the opacity.
  17. No Shape3D. I try not to rely on that because it only allows basic shapes. I prefer working on 3D effects that can be applied to any shape... Although, this could have been done with Shape3D...most of it anyway.
  18. Won't do a thing on a B&W image...there is no colorize option like in PS. (Rick, any thoughts on adding that?)
