Sorry I don't understand *takes off numpty hat and gives it a dust* I did try but the background is still white not transparent.

Hello all!! A dreaded newbie here!! Could some kind, patient soul please describe (like talking to a four year old!) how to do layers. I have tried so many times, and followed so many tutorials but every time seem to end up confused, not being able to get opacity right, or loosing layers to some place unknown!! :oops: Thanking you in anticipation!
