maybe i've found, if i create a white layer, blending MULTIPLY, opacity 255 with the text in the corner, when i apply it to a picture, i get the picture with the text. Now the question is, supposed that this process is right, in which format i save the layer?

Since i'm working on my pictures to put them on a blog, i was thinking to put my email or my nickname on the lower left corner of the picture. I dont want to do this manually every time so i thought that maybe i can do it using a layer. How can i create and save a transparent layer with my nickname on the lower left corner?
