  1. Hi all.

I'm looking for a tutorial which show how to use an antique book image (book front open) an put inside it another photo like if it's printed in it.

So the added image must follow page curves (and maybe have light effect, but what I need is page curves).

I try to find it also for Photoshop but I find anything.

Did someone know how to find it?

In my idea the final result must be similar to this http://www.captainswatch.ca/images/book/inside_book.jpg

  3. I think my previous post may be confused.

I try using an example to explain.

I have a picture of a fish (the tipical image from fish side), and I need to create an island with the shape of fish.

That means that the coast of the island are the fish border, and inside I may have a lake where's the eye and mountains where there are flipper/fin.

I hope this explain what I'm looking for.

  4. I'm trying to made an RPG game and I need to create an island with a form of an specific item (something like a sword or an animal).

So I find a photo of this item and I want to made a world map with this form.

I find in forum this topic viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5871&hilit=world+map which explain how to draw a custom world map, but I need to convert this photo into a world map.

Is there someone who can help me?

  5. Mine usefull feature

    Photoshop feature

    - free transformation [resize, rotation, and other effect, by dragging image]

    - Pattern Fill [select an image, define a pattern, select an area, fill with image pattern]

    - layer merge [not all the layer in one, but also one layer with previous layer and similar]

    - hue/sat colorize [like photoshop]

And something that also photoshop doesn't have, but mspaint have

    - Preview [while in zoom mode, a little window with a preview of original size o image]

  6. that's ok... but maybe i have a suggestion:

The layer will be like now [so graphical layer] but it mantain information on text.

It will be marked as text layers and contain information about layer.

On resize of image, or something like this, and on text change the layer will be redrawn again mantaining the same aspect as it was originally.

I take a look on photoshop and i try to add text and resize it... photoshop take the dimension of font and resize it .

So this could be made using a simple resize like

"old image width" : "new image width" = "old text size" : "X"

    For effect's i don't know what happen....

i hope it could be helpfull :D

  7. I sayd that i think it isn't so hard because have one idea to how to this.

While using the file it's possible to use datatable [or something like this] to store information on text, while saving, i don't know how pdn file where made, but maybe something like a xml structure

    for example

    Digited Text String

    Verdana
    10px
    normal
    italic
    no

    10px
    10px

Or something like this... maybe this could be so hard, i don't know how paint net layer work, and even how pdn format is

Sorry if it's my fault thinking that, it not my intention to say something that you don't like

  8. They have just release version 2.6 one month ago... i think it's premature ask for 3 release....

I hope it will be released with more feature like text layer as photoshop text layer [with information of text, font, color, size... i think it isn't so hard to do, just save into layer information about text], open psd [really psd and save them compatible with photoshop, but this required text layer], MDI and maybe other new feature .

A release 3 with only the add of MDI isn't really a release for 3.0, i think [better for a 2.7 if it could be]... with the change of first number i think on a great change [and until now it's still possible to open two different paint net and work with 2 different image]

  9. I ask for this feaure because at home i use it a ot for my peronal work.

but at home i have photohop.

In office i haven't photohop, an I think it could be usefull here too.

but that's not a problem, i always have photoshop at home.

I don't know how to ask to paint net dev to add this feature to native paint net hsl asjustment... but your plugin it's cool, not really a colorize, but similar and could help me in others way :D

And remember, even if this effect isn't the same as colorize, it could help and someone could need this command... as what i'm doing with animated gif, it isn't the same of image ready [which give also the possibility to edit image too, my little program - in developpment, i found some bug - oly create animation] but i was able to add a new feature for export single frame, and photoshop doesn't allow this, i don't know why!

So I think that the native plugin could add the colorize feature and your could be use for other think [it's conditional, so more powerful but more complex]

  10. This wa exactly what i made with it, but i don't have the same effect of colorize.
