  1. Number 1: Number 2: (The font used is Paint Peel and can be found on http://www.dafont.com)
  2. I went from this: to this: by first making the drawing, using the background as a help then following TakeMangaka's tutorial for CG painting to color it in and I just blurred the background so let's say it's 78.3% PDN
  3. Some sort of effect managing would be handy. Now I have just a screen full of effects where I can't scroll trough - I have to click on those tiny arrows - which leads to a lot of frustration. It would also solve Ethen's problem...
  4. I need your opinion on this: I would like to enter my try: The problem is that it is inspired by an istockphoto: I tried to reduce the picture to just its basics - can/paint, so I think I'm not doing anything illegal, am I?
  5. Ok it looks solved now. Thanks for the remark Rick, it was very useful. It was of course my own fault. I realised that a few days ago, I was trying to use a second monitor (for a presentation) and I must have changed some monitor settings then. It said something like 'open all applications on last monitor'. So I set all my nView-settings back to default and it worked perfectly. Woohoo!
  6. Hi there, I've just updated to version 3.07, and now I'm having the following problem: every window (even toolbox, history etc., but also resize etc.) has a fullscreen size, like this: It's pretty annoying, actually. Is it my fault? Thnx, Gladi8or2 [edit] I re-installed the program, but the problem remains. :-( I've never seen anything like this in the previous versions...
  7. I don't think Paint.NET creates a folder in the Documents And Settings folder. If you want to install effects, you'll have to put them in the Effects folder where you installed Paint.NET (usually the Program Files/Paint.NET folder)
  8. When you save your picture, choose 'Save as', and then choose a different type from the drop down menu, like jpeg, png or bmp. pdn is only used for Paint.Net and so is not a standard file type.
  9. Damn Crazy Man Dan joined the contest. There goes my chance to win
  10. :o What a beatiful pictures. I wish I had an eye for design like you do
  11. Edited my previous post, the diagonal lines indeed look better now. I was also wrong with the exact filling style, because I'm using the dutch version of Paint.NET, so I had to kind of 'guess' the translation Anyway, it looks better now. Thanks for the tutorial!
  12. Of course, but I'll have to change it since you changed your tutorial. The diagonal lines are not very good now. It's a wonderful tutorial!
  13. who said we were going off topic with all this math stuff? 8)
  14. http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/categories/8 on the bottom of the page: * The Square Root of 4 to a Million Places () The file you can download there says: What follows are the first 1 million digits of the square root of 4. Actually, slightly more than 1 million digits are given here. These digits were computed by Norman De Forest using a custom utility and a command with a lot of dollar signs in the command line. They were computed during his copious spare time on a standard IBM PC over the course of about 6 minutes and 40 seconds. We do NOT guarantee the accuracy of these digits. Although these digits have been checked once we encourage others to check them as well. Please report any errors to "Norman L. De Forest" . - Norman L. 15. Reminds me of a discussion on an other forum... Does 0.9999999999..... = 1 ? The answer is ofcourse yes, but so many people just don't believe it! (mm, maybe this is a little off-topic, sorry for that)
