I understand that Rick. I just need an explanation of what the terms mean and how to use them.

I see that the newest version has the burn and dodge, but I can't figure out how to use them. Where can I find out what all those different layer types do?

Help me understand what all those layer properties mean. How do I burn and dodge like I do in my wet darkroom? I have never used Photoshop, are the commands similar enough that a book would help? Suggestions? Thanks.
