Paint.Net Misc Suggestions
Illnab1024 replied to gunvulture's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
It helps a lot when you are zoomed into the image and want to see behind the floating windows without pressing F5, F6, F7, or F8. The other way to set brush opacity is in the Color toolbar when you press "More > >". It is under "Transparency - Alpha". And yes, there isn't a really fast way to do it. -

Suggestion: Text Editing with Layers
Illnab1024 replied to RavonTUS's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
On this note and the fact that object-oriented text has been requested, Is PdN ever going to have a deeply object-orientated interface? -
Ohhh. You will have to do this: (1). Open any folder in Windows Explorer. (2). Go up to the toolbar. Click on Tools → Folder Options... (3).Click on the File Types tab. (4).Click on New. (5).Type .ico in the box beside File Extension: (6).Press OK. (7).Click on New. (8).Type .cur in the box beside File Extension: (9).Press OK. (10).Click on New. (11).Type .psd in the box beside File Extension: (12).Press OK. (13). Now go to each one (ICO, CUR, and PSD) in the list and for each click "Change". You will see an Open With... window. Wither find Paint.NET in the list or, if it is not there, click on Browse... and go to your PDN directory and click on the executable file for PDN.

Rick...You might have committed manslaughter there, so you know. Anyway, maybe object based selection. Like Advanced Selection tool where you define a perimeter based on certain buttons (L) for linear ( for Bezier Curve © for semicircular curve and so on... also another thing I would like to add: ability to change the number of nubs! How easy is calculus in C#? And may I ask, what is the other curve? I am used to Bezier splines, but what is the other's name and math behind it?

A faulty installation somewhere changed the permissions to this registry key. I would suggest going into regedit and changing permissions or plain uninstalling Paint.NET -

I was looking around last night for the random function (which I know now is a Random instance (here r), referenced: byte c = (byte)(r.Next(0,255)) The system functions are almost foreign, also. The sierpinski triangle example I did on 8192 x 6144 resolution. Zoomed in a good bit. The fractals are fast.

Wow. I have only been programming with a general knowledge in Javascript. I understand this is C#? I took to it quickly and I love the flexibility. I need to learn a lot of the function, but nice none the less. creates nice functional colors. Also, debuggers just give you a specific area. I think there is no 100% accuracy pinpoint on a processor > 80 MHz

Windows (toolbars) won't stay where I put them!!
Illnab1024 replied to badger's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Yes this is a setting that PdN does not save. Perhaps later. :smells feature requests: -
hmm. Rick: Bink's RADVideo Tools have somewhat of a functionality like this. They happen to be all command line pdn?.bmp*001-149 is an example of a batch command they include. also a good idea: store the list in the temp while making the list by a simple ctrl-click, multiple file browser. I also agree with rejzor though: don't rush it.
