my everyday job includes resizing, editing.. and formating text, pictures from scanned newspaper pages (jpeg files). Opening such document (~2mb 300dpi ~6000px/4000px) it takes about 200mb of my computers memory.. Basicly its just very slow on loading and editing it. Im working only with white/black images which includes mostly text.
At the same time in photoshop opened file size is about 30mb and i can work in it really fast.
The question is, can you suggest me any solution or plugin or anything i could use, as the program i currently use has no licence and i wont be able to use it for long.
