  1. I think I should stop posting, it confuses people more than anything else.
  2. Did you try to reinstall the .NET Framework?
  3. 2. this package got what you need : viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22819
  4. Quick! Read this : viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446
  5. You can order Service Pack CDs from Microsoft. I got SP2 that way for free. I looked for SP3, but it costs this time. 8$ or something. And I've Vista here, but my mother still have the old XP at her's, updated to SP3 by the wire
  6. The guy in the keynote says that if you use the Common File Dialog in Vista, which Paint.NET uses, you get all the benefits of the new Windows APIs automagically. Now, topic closed, sorry, David.
  7. See this thread : viewtopic.php?f=15&t=25777 and this thread : viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3393
  8. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. Find Windows Image Acquisition (WIA). The list is in alphabetical order, so it's at the end. Double-click on it, and set Startup Type to Automatic. Click the Start button beneath. Restart Paint.NET if it's still open. Print.
  9. Photoshop use Ctrl+Return to apply the text. I suggest that Paint.NET should do the same.
  10. Just wipe out everything in your Effects folder and redownload the plugins you want (well, need). There must be some incompatibility bad karma going on.
  11. Try Help > Help Topics (in 2.1). Everything is there.
  12. Stumbled upon PdN on a Microsoft Research Summit slide:
  13. Can you post the content of the File > View Plugins Errors dialog? The plugin just don't work in x64. Contact the author. EDIT More constructive constructivism: You should download this guy's stuff, as it's a single application, it will use Windows On Windows 32bit emulation. http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=40
  14. No, you can't customize the size of the default canvas, yet. I think something like this in the works for v4, but I might be utterly wrong. But if you just want to paste something from the clipboard to a new image, use Edit > :PasteNewImage:Paste in to New Image instead of creating a new image and pasting the content in it. Note that Paint.NET automagically knows the dimensions of the picture in the clipboard, and suggest them in the "New..." dialog, so you can just hit Return anyway.
  15. Can you attach the pdncrash.log file here? If you don't know how to do it, just paste the content of the file in a new post. Also, you can try to download the setup file again, it may be corrupted.
  16. In which file format are you trying to save it? BMP, PNG, TGA?
  17. Where did you install Paint.NET? Is it on a network or something?
  18. OMG Someone finally made an equation plugin OMGOMGOMG
  19. Coding4Fun - Holiday Gift Guide - 2007 Edition http://blogs.msdn.com/coding4fun/archiv ... 44348.aspx Scroll down to the middle of the page, it's in the Software Tools category, between Reflector and the XNA Game Studio. Edit: saw the link in Coding Horror.
