  1. But the automatic updates also only work when having automatic updates enabled in the Microsoft Store, correct?
  2. Why is the Microsoft Store release recommended over the Classic Desktop version?
  3. First step rather is "Expand canvas". Then 2nd step is pasting the clipboard picture. But "paste into new image" definitely is a multi-step operation, code wise. Would it be much work to change the history-entry "Paste into New Image" into the 2 steps "Expand canvas" and "Paste"?
  4. Could try, but with middlefinger on Tab instead. index finger on Tab key? I never thought of that. I always use the finger next to that or middlefinger. In the browser, sometimes (most of the time I click the tabs). I don't use a browser though to compare 2-3 images with each other, I'm used to using 2-3 instances of dedicated image-software for that.
  5. The issue is that Alt+Tab can be pressed a lot more comfortable than Ctrl+Tab (without the need of bending your left hand to the left by nearly 45ยฐ)
  6. After posting an image from Windows clipboard into a new file as "Paste into New Image" (Ctrl+Alt+V), "revert" doesn't work (the keybinding Ctrl+Z doesn't work).
  7. I switched over from Windows Paint and Windows "Photos" (that !#@!#$! UWP App ๐Ÿคข) to Paint.NET to also use it to view images and compare them (using Alt-Tab a few times in succession, to overlay one image with another). Is there any reason behind the inability to run multiple instances? (There's no warning message with a reason why multiple instances are not allowed, when trying to launch more than one instance.)
  8. Hi, with this version I'm unable to open 2 or more instances of Paint.NET. Do I remember correctly that it was possible 1 or 2 versions ago, or do I mix up something?
  9. Started up for me same speed aswell. @VinnieDaArm Do you have exact same antivirus setup on both PCs? Maybe that is causing startup delay on one of your PCs.
  10. That's strange. How is that possible? I don't even have any plugin installed.
  11. So, startup-speeds are the same (at 1 second, after my tests), but the one advantage of the Store app over the normal program appears to be program size! Store app only claims 212 MB storage (I just checked after purchasing) while the normal program claims over 100 MB more, at 340 MB! ๐Ÿฅณ awesome!!! So Microsoft Store apps seem to make some sense, after all. ๐Ÿ˜ (apart from the very broken app-updater-logic in the entire Microsoft Store)
  12. This currently appears to be incorrect. Currently, when opening a jpg and saving it as a new .jpg again (with 100% quality setting), without editing anything in the image, each time file-size even increases! ๐Ÿ˜ณ
  13. Thanks for your reply. Wow, even BoltBait claims that there WITHOUT mentioning the 100%-quality-setting, that an image degrades over time... ๐Ÿ˜‘ also @null54 here is my proof of (weirdly) increasing filesize after each save without any image-editing (everytime saved with 100% quality setting of course, as, why would one even only want to save it with default 95% quality setting? ๐Ÿคจ)
  14. This is plain wrong, as long as you use this 100% quality setting!!! For some reason even on the contrary, my image file size increases after every new save from Paint net although I don't change any setting! my image1.jpg for example is 101KB, and image5.jpg (5th copy!) is already 110KB, what? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Shouldn't it decrease in size, IF it would loose quality with each new save? ๐Ÿ˜†
  15. Is there any way to do this? I'd really like to skip the steps of having to press tab and then 2x arrow down (in the "save as" window) and pressing 2x enter to save my images.
