Paint.Net will not open at all now. I have re-installed from official website but has made no difference. I have tried to re-install the MS Store Paint.Net app. without success. MS says there is a problem with the download. The app. says that my computer is compatible with the programme. I have posted a MS fault report and there appears to be others, reporting the loss of Paint.Net. Has been missing for five days now, since MS update.

The condition has returned today with files not opening, only through using 'files' in Paint.net programme.

As of April 11th. 2023, the condition has cleared, possible Microsoft update? Thanks for support with this problem.

Thank you. Interestingly the suggestion on the forum of including the Paint.NET shortcut, to the 'Send to' folder, did not work for me. Although the shortcut link was selected, the programme still would not open.

'Open' and 'Open with' feature in Windows 10 has stopped opening Paint.NET image files. Feature works if other paint programmes are selected. Paint.NET is the default app. The only way the files will open is by selecting them from 'files' in the Paint.NET app. It appears that the app. is being blocked from opening images.
