It would be wonderful if you could select a number of colours within a range, perhaps even using a dropper tool?

Hi folks, is there a way to specify a range of colours, then use the eraser to only remove those colours? I am currently using the magic wand but it is a little inpresice and quite hands on! Fairly new to this so please forgive my ignorance! Thanks 🙂 Olly.
