Resolved (sort-of) While searching for a portable version of PDN I came across the MSI version of the installer here: https://github.com/paintdotnet/release/releases The MSI installer worked and did not give the error that the EXE installer was giving.

Below is the error I am receiving:

Good evening, I have been running paint.net on my Windows 10 PC for a long time and the auto-update feature has always worked flawlessly, until 4.3.12 came out. Now every time I open Paint.net and I am prompted to upgrade, the upgrade fails with an "Unhandled exception" saying "Strong name validation failed." I finally tried uninstalling paint.net to do a fresh install but the fresh install gives the same error so now I don't have paint.net installed at all. Has anyone else had this issue? I do not want to disable the validation completely as many sites have suggested, and I have been unable to find anything for this error as it relates to paint.net specifically. Thank you, Zack
