Forgot to keep this posted updated. I took your advice null and went with a uncompressed format but because i have to work to a file size i dropped the res, fortunately without much lose in the details. Thanks for the pointers all.

Hi all I've been using Paint.net for work for some time now but i've encountered a problem recently. I have to save my work as .dds in either DXT1 or DXT5 which leaves a gradient i painted with lots of banding. Any tips for removing would be greatly appreciated. Project: After saving to .dds: Thanks
