It's great to see a new upcoming version is on its way. I've been using Paint.net for 3 decades now and will there be any new additional tools for example such as; - additional lasso tools (polygonal and magnetic) - brush tools (blur, sharpen, median and smudge) to this upcoming version like other well-known free/commercial graphics applications.
