  1. If you post the full Diagnostics report found in Settings, maybe someone will see something particular to your system that is problematic.
  2. For this: Draw a squiggle with Paintbrush. Gaussian blur. Alpha to Dots plugin. Frosted Glass.
  3. If you want to cut out a person from a background try one of these sites. https://photoscissors.com/ https://www.remove.bg/upload https://removal.ai/
  4. On the blue layer - Adjustments > Black and White Next, fill a New Layer with the color you want, set the Blend mode to Multiply or Color Burn.
  5. You can download v4.2.15 here: https://www.getpaint.net/download.html
  6. Because it is easy to make a vertical line on a New Layer, I suspect that this would be a low priority new feature.
  7. Rename the file - Alias.zip Then double-click the zipfile, copy the .dll file and paste it into the Effects folder. https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html
  8. You need to have the Move Selected Pixels tool active.
  9. First remove the white background using the Kill Color Keeper plugin set to kill white at default tolerance. Next make a selection around the part of the cactus above the pot. Cut/paste into a new layer. Rotate and position so that juncture looks okay. Adjust the bottom of the selection up a bit. Cut/paste into a new layer. Rotate and position so that it looks good. Repeat as needed.
  10. Click on the big orange bar at the top of this page.
  11. I don't think that there is a plugin for this since plugins don't work with more than one layer at a time. (Exception: If one layer is loaded into the clipboard.) If I understood more clearly what you are wanting to do, there might be a more effective way of doing it manually.
  12. One thing you could do is make a series of dots on a New Layer equivalent to the perforations you want. This plugin would be useful. Erase the dots you don't want. With the Shift key down Magic Wand the dots. Make the dots layer not-visible. Make your image layer active. Press Delete.
  13. Good tutorial. A nice technique for those who are just learning to use paint.net, as it requires no plugins.
  14. The image type is not recognized, and cannot be opened. This happens from dragging the .dll onto the paint.net UI. Plugins aren't installed that way.
  15. Are you dragging the .dll onto the paint.net canvas? Plugins aren't installed that way. Read this page. https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html
