  1. At the risk of repeating myself, I find this ability to create a transparent, adjustable cut-out line around objects to be extremely useful. I can hardly be the only one who never heard of the Overwrite mode before now, tho. So I would still like to see Paint.Net implement this as a tool in the toolbox, to encourage wider use.
  2. ardneh, I could probably get back solid weeks of my life down the years if I could take this back in time, LOL. Thank you. Spread the word on this great tip.
  3. What a useful feature this would be: if we could use the Line tool to cut out edges using the palette's *opacity* slot. 😃 (Since it is transparent, you would have to display the line with a pseudocolor.)
  4. The main thing I miss about using Photo$$$$$hop is the unique artistry of its "oil paint" filter, which blows away the paint filters in other programs. The nearest equivalent is Prisma. I recall long ago hearing this was the result of using "optical flow." I just looked into this and found an article that provides pseudocode for this: "Flow-Centric Painterly Rendering." Maybe someone much smarter than me can give us a plugin?? https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/94db/b7a871d958ffe6a5267e6c65570cf1ad76f3.pdf
  5. Just wanted to express my appreciation for the great ease of use of the Curve tool. I don't recall seeing curve adjustment this straightforward in any vector tool. If it's possible in Inkscape or Affinity Designer, let me know.
