I found it out! The image I was using had a fake transparent background. It makes me angry to think why they would post a transparent image fake.

So when I make a transparent image, it shows as transparent (invisible, as expected.) How would I make the checkerboard show? How would I make it so that the checkerboard is seen? Thank you so much in advance.

but it still is not blending in. It is a download from the internet. I could use magic wand, but parts of it are translucent.

So when I get a transparent image from google, I put it in paint.net, and it is not transparent, It is showing the canvas gray and white thing. My background is red, but the transparancy isn't detected. If you guys could help it would be much appreciated. (Also when I put the paint bucket on the transparency, it won't do translucent layers, so please do other methods than the paintbucket on transparent layer method.) https://imgur.com/a/J0mNjLr
