Thank you. I understand your answer. I use jpg because the blog I use will only permit me to upload jpg's. I didn't think Chrome had anything to do with the extensions offered by Paint.net but the posting (on this site) I was reading went into great (and confusing to me) detail about changing something in the Microsoft browser - didn't make sense to me but I'm no techie. I love Paint.net and will continue to use it but I wish there was a way to default to jpg. Peace.

I am running Win10 and using Chrome as my browser. I am not highly skilled at tech. I use jpg 100% of the time so I always have to select that when I am saving an image as Paint.net has a default for PNG. It's just a nuisance but if their is some easy way to change the default to jpg pls tell me step-by-step. Maybe there is some way to eliminate the other extensions. I have looked in Chrome settings but didn't find a solution. Many thanks.
