I'm using paint.net for long time now and like it a lot. Still there are some wishes: Provide real docking for color and layer pallette. Provide full keyboard interface for color and layer pallette. (Like for tools).

Do you know how the keyboard shortscuts for tool selection work? I want the same for colors.

I know how to use Paint.net I' m looking for a new feature, where the color can really be selected by keyboard. You could see this as an accessibility feature.

The tool palette already has a nice presentation and keyboard interface. I would need the same for color selection: A dockable, small panel, with the current color palette in it. Keyboard shortcuts to enter the color palette, for foreground and background respectively. Additional keys for selecting a color. All in all, much like the current tool selection.

How to make paint.net default for all supported image types, after installation?
