I've heard of people getting some good deals on things like Facebook for sale or swap pages in their area.
Still no monitor, and I've been denied permission to install PDN on this other computer. Going to probably hit my sister up for a loan this weekend, hopefully.

I'm not entering my own topic, wahhhh! Right now I'm downstairs on my aunt's computer. Our WiFi was out for a couple of days, but now that it's back my monitor has died and I can't afford a new one right now so I just wanted to wish everyone luck and I hope the topic isn't too hard!

Thanks for the replies, @welshblue and @lynxster4. I was aiming for glitter, and I should have followed my instincts and removed it when it didn't turn out. And I'll dial down the saturation and see what I get. About to go out Christmas shopping, but I'll play around with it when I get back.

@lynxster4...wow! I wish I could smell those pieces of pie. I'm with @TrevorOutlaw- I want a piece of that pie to go with the coffee I'm currently drinking. I think these would look particularly good as part of an icon set.

Thanks, @welshblue...I modified my entry before I saw your post. Your tips are much appreciated-I never would have thought to use clouds! I'm happier with my modified entry, but I still fudged the stucco...yours is so much better than mine. Live and learn. I will do some experimenting tomorrow night and maybe modify it again.

On your text layer, set the Blending Mode to something other than Normal and see how that looks. (just a tip).

Okay, I've posted something in the thread. I'm not very happy with the texture of the wall-I was going for stucco, but just adding noise wasn't the correct approach I know. I think my bit of brick showing turned out okay, but the text doesn't look sprayed on. Just looks like I added text to an image.

I'm enjoying this new OOTF challenge...but OMG is it taking me forever. I don't know how you guys are coming up with entries so quickly!
