No I've watched the tutorial and I did just like he did many times and I think now that it's starting to work but I have a problem

that's not working with me i think that tutorial for the text but i need for shapes

A chevron shape is built into PDN.  Simply pick your gold color, select the 'Shapes' Tool, select 'Draw Filled Shape' move over to your canvas and draw it.
