  1. My Outline effect is filling in my entire page instead of outlining my text. It doesn't show the color wheel option while I'm adjusting the outline, either. I installed that exact plug-in about a month ago, and it worked at first. I'm wondering if I have a setting clicked that I can't find. How I did it-- first attempt: I added a layer on top, Pasted my text on that separate layer, clicked outside it with Magic Wand, tried Outline. Second attempt: All that, and I Inverted Selection and tried Outline. Am I doing something incorrect? The layer with this text on it is Transparent all around it.
  2. @Ego Eram Reputo, I believe you! Lol, I'm just a newb 🤓. @Rick Brewster, I'm glad I read this now, because I'm sitting at a Starbucks, and was holding myself back from Hulking-out on my little tablet for the lag in almost half of my design strokes. I see it from a logical place, now. Effing, woosah, 😌.
  3. I got the advice from @Ego Eram Reputo on this forum to double my image size to create an outline effect. This was in place of the plug-in I got that has the Outline effect that I couldn't figure out. I was getting inconsistent boldness around different parts of my image with no apparent rhyme or reason. Turns out, I needed to mess with the Intensity in the Outline option. I set it to 99 and all my problems went away! Now, I have a bold outline 🤓!

  5. I'm trying to double the size of the image, and I'm getting this message: Application version: paint.net 4.1.6 System.OutOfMemoryException: VirtualAlloc returned a null pointer, bytes = 1,264,688,656 ---> System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.OutOfMemoryException: VirtualAlloc returned a null pointer, bytes = 1,264,688,656 at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.Memory.AllocateLarge(UInt64 bytes, Boolean zeroFill) in D:\src\pdn\src\SystemLayer\Memory.cs:line 162 at PaintDotNet.Runtime.RetryManager.<>c__DisplayClass7_0`1.<RunMemorySensitiveOperation>b__0() in D:\src\pdn\src\Base\Runtime\RetryManager.cs:line 139 at PaintDotNet.Runtime.RetryManager.RunMemorySensitiveOperation(Int32 maxAttempts, Action action) in D:\src\pdn\src\Base\Runtime\RetryManager.cs:line 168 --- End of inner exception stack trace --- --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at PaintDotNet.Runtime.RetryManager.RunMemorySensitiveOperation(Int32 maxAttempts, Action action) in D:\src\pdn\src\Base\Runtime\RetryManager.cs:line 195 at PaintDotNet.Runtime.RetryManager.RunMemorySensitiveOperation[T](Int32 maxAttempts, Func`1 func) in D:\src\pdn\src\Base\Runtime\RetryManager.cs:line 144 at PaintDotNet.MemoryBlock.Allocate(Int64 bytes, MemoryBlockAllocFlags flags) in D:\src\pdn\src\Core\MemoryBlock.cs:line 383 at PaintDotNet.MemoryBlock..ctor(Int64 bytes, MemoryBlockAllocFlags flags) in D:\src\pdn\src\Core\MemoryBlock.cs:line 275 at PaintDotNet.Surface..ctor(Int32 width, Int32 height, SurfaceCreationFlags surfaceCreationFlags) in D:\src\pdn\src\Core\Surface.cs:line 246 at PaintDotNet.Actions.ResizeAction.<>c__DisplayClass7_2.<PerformAction>b__1(Task task) in D:\src\pdn\src\PaintDotNet\Actions\ResizeAction.cs:line 346 I got there by Rectangle Selecting the image I want outlined >> Image >> Resize >> and changing Percentage to 200% Did I do it incorrectly? I also want me some sharp corners 🤠
  6. Thank you for the plug-in @pyrochild (I know this post is super old but maybe you'll see this 😀)! I have mine up and working (🤓 I'm freaking stoked!), although, I have a question about using the 'outline' feature. My canvas size is 7,271px x 10,871px-- is this why I'm getting a less clean look? I set the Thickness in different ranges between 1-10, and it wasn't enough to fully outline. Higher than that, I get better outline coverage, but an awkward white outline around that. Any tricks for me? BTW: I promise I'm putting effort into finding as many answers as I can through forums and YouTube videos so as not to wear anybody out with my questions *cough cough @toe_head2001* 🙂. This particular plug-in is something I don't know how to search for outside this forum and a Youtube video with a direct link to this plug-in, but that particular problem isn't one I saw had to be discussed.
  7. Thank you, again, @toe_head2001! Works perfect and I can move forward with my design
  8. I have a plug-in downloaded from the paint.net forum, but I'm unable to follow directions for installing them due to not being able to select Open File Location under the Properties for paint.net. What do I do?
  9. Thank you @toe_head2001! I went to 'choose where to save' on my browser and selected a folder I created. Does that ring a bell as part of the process to keep my files? If it helps, I'm on a Surface Go. Sorry if this posts multiple times. I've pushed Submit Reply a few times with no full response... lol, a Surface Go is not the strongest tool for all the madness I'm creating. #babysteps
  10. I'm getting this message ' The file could not be found. ' When I click on Show Details, I get this: Application version: paint.net 4.1.6 System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Users\Thank You\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\TempState\Downloads\New Design PNG.pdn'. Is there something different, now?
