My Outline effect is filling in my entire page instead of outlining my text. It doesn't show the color wheel option while I'm adjusting the outline, either. I installed that exact plug-in about a month ago, and it worked at first. I'm wondering if I have a setting clicked that I can't find. How I did it-- first attempt: I added a layer on top, Pasted my text on that separate layer, clicked outside it with Magic Wand, tried Outline. Second attempt: All that, and I Inverted Selection and tried Outline. Am I doing something incorre

@Ego Eram Reputo, I believe you! Lol, I'm just a newb 🤓. @Rick Brewster, I'm glad I read this now, because I'm sitting at a Starbucks, and was holding myself back from Hulking-out on my little tablet for the lag in almost half of my design strokes. I see it from a logical place, now. Effing, woosah, 😌.

I got the advice from @Ego Eram Reputo on this forum to double my image size to create an outline effect. This was in place of the plug-in I got that has the Outline effect that I couldn't figure out. I was getting inconsistent boldness around different parts of my image with no apparent rhyme or reason. Turns out, I needed to mess with the Intensity in the Outline option. I set it to 99 and all my problems went away! Now, I have a bold outline 🤓!

I'm trying to double the size of the image, and I'm getting this message: Application version: paint.net 4.1.6 System.OutOfMemoryException: VirtualAlloc returned a null pointer, bytes = 1,264,688,656 ---> System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.OutOfMemoryException: VirtualAlloc returned a null pointer, bytes = 1,264,688,656 at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.Memory.AllocateLarge(UInt64 bytes, Boolean zeroFill) in D:\src\pdn\src\SystemLayer\Memory.cs:line 162 at PaintDotNet.Runtime.RetryManager.<>c__DisplayClass7_0`1.<RunMemorySensiti

Thank you for the plug-in @pyrochild (I know this post is super old but maybe you'll see this 😀)! I have mine up and working (🤓 I'm freaking stoked!), although, I have a question about using the 'outline' feature. My canvas size is 7,271px x 10,871px-- is this why I'm getting a less clean look? I set the Thickness in different ranges between 1-10, and it wasn't enough to fully outline. Higher than that, I get better outline coverage, but an awkward white outline around that. Any tricks for me? BTW: I promise I'm putting effort into finding as many answers as I can throug

Thank you @toe_head2001! I went to 'choose where to save' on my browser and selected a folder I created. Does that ring a bell as part of the process to keep my files? If it helps, I'm on a Surface Go. Sorry if this posts multiple times. I've pushed Submit Reply a few times with no full response... lol, a Surface Go is not the strongest tool for all the madness I'm creating. #babysteps -
