  1. Right now, Windows Explorer gives the file type for all images associated to open with the app as "paint.net image". I wish this was only so for *.pdn, whereas all other file types (incl the. ones supplied by plugins) would have a human readable file type that included the actual type like PNG and JPEG, so one could more easily identify different formats of the same image without having to enable file name extensions.
  2. Oops, I failed to see that initially. Great! Is AVCI (AVC in HEIF) also supported already?
  3. There are several image formats out there which I cannot find a Paint.net I/O plugin for yet. I wish there were: AVIF, which is AV1-based HEIF (built upon ISOBMMF), unlike the default HEVC/H.265 in HEIC that is supported since 4.2 (if Windows supports it). There is a free download for an AV1 video extension in the MS Store, which might be enough already in combination with the HEIF download. (Edit: 4.2.2+) BPG, HEVC i-frames in a different container JPEG XL (JXL) and JPEG XT (JXT), incremental, partially backwards-compatible enhancements of classic JPEG FLIF, a free format using MANIAC JNG, i.e. JPEG in PNG, is usually considered a subset of MNG. Both formats are almost twenty years old now and can be considered to have failed to gain acceptance.
  4. @Ego Eram Reputo The filetype plugin for .appiconset seems to be missing from the plugin index.
  5. Week numbers would be nice (especially if conforming to ISO 8601).
  6. This plugin is very helpful indeed, but I wish it could, in addition to rendering PDF pages as bitmaps, also extract bitmap images from PDF files, like pdfimages from XPDF can.
