I've just managed to install the paid for version. I had to make sure my PC is recognised as a device by Microsoft Store, then I had to install thru the Microsoft Store App, which I can access from the taskbar on my PC. So, issue of MS store-bought install is solved.

Hi. I've bought Paint.net from Microsoft Store but never able to download it, such that I have a paid version on my PC. Microsoft's page says "You Own it" and there is a button to install. I think I could not download it at the time because my PC was not known to Microsoft Store. But as of today the store does see my laptop, but still cannot download/install. Is there actually a paid version of Paint.net insumuch that it's different from the download you can get from Paint.net? I thought there was some advantage to buying Paint.net, but forgot what they were.

Hi. Solved it. On my PC I can choose between FS-1300D & FS-1300d KX. I went and checked that nothing was set to A5. One thing was and I set it to A4. So, I'm OK. Thanks.

Hi. When printing a graphic file I've had no problem prining a "full page photo". But the other day I wanted somethig less than a full page on my A4 paper, so I went and selected A5 paper size. That produced a smaller print area on my A4 paper, which is what I wanted. Now, I've set paper size back to A4, but although the preview shows a full page print area, I'm getting something a lot smaller. Any idea how I can get things back to as they were? I'm running Windows 7 and my printer is a Kyocera FS-1300D. Thanks. Rich

Thanks for the heads up. I've decided to re-create the dial. I have three layers,: The background to use as a template, a layer above that with the background colour to the markings, and a layer above that containing the markings. If I need more assistance I will post. Thanks.

The dial is English and is part of a Defiant MSH971 radio set, circa 1939. As to the Gill Sans: " Gill Sans is a sans-serif typeface designed by Eric Gill and released by the British branch of Monotype from 1928 onwards. Gill Sans is based on Edward Johnston's 1916 "Underground Alphabet", the corporate font of London Underground. Gill as a young artist had assisted Johnston in its early development stages. Hi. I've scanned a radio dial. And I'm in process of filling in the background with a pure colour (not bitty). Now, the dial markings themselves are bitty. By bitty, I mean the area is not perfectly homogeneous. How do I make an area that is not very homogenous and therefore "bitty" purely homogeneous? Sure, you can try to bucket fill, but I think this might not work too well when the background intrudes somewhat into the area one wants to make homogeneous. I attach a section of the radio dial showing the markings. You see they are "bitty" and rather faded. I want them far more bold and the colour homogeneous. Thanks.
