It's all good. I was smart enough to read the pinned threads but not smart enough to scroll down. All I had to do was restart. Sorry for being dumb.

The crashlog scanner told me I was running an outdated version of paint.net (not true, I'm running 4.1.1) and it told me to update to an older version, 4.0.1. This happens when I click on the text tool.
