I have used Paint.net for years and have made a donation, albeit a few years ago. It's a great program. Recently, I ran paint.net successfully but when I tried to run it a second time, it crashed with red error messages about cannot access c:\users\[username]\appdata\local\paint.net\sessiondata. There are two numbered folders in that location which are numbered (see image"paint dot net inaccessible folders).
I uninstalled paint.net and found the offending numbered folders still there.
Tried to remove them but was not allowed to.
Tried to reinstall latest version paint.net.4.0.19.install.exe. Failed to install. See Paint dot Net Install Faill.png below.
I am running Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299 on ASUS F555U with 8Gb Ram.
Please assist.
Thank you.
